Responsibilities:

  • Build and develop internal employee and external client relationships 
  • Lead day-to-day contact and execution to fulfill asset of assigned partners 
  • Partner to develop and deliver ways to measure marketing partnership deals, platforms, and value to partners
  • Lead planning and execution of all assigned partners’ contractual elements, including traditional media assets, digital and social platforms, in-market promotions, in-stadium activation, hospitality, experiential, and community programs
  • Work cross-functionally to build and implement pre-season planning sessions, action plans and all marketing, media, social, community relationships, promotions, and events for assigned Partners
  • Manage and track sponsorship asset delivery and budgets reporting out on status update on a regular basis
  • Present season long activation plans to Partners and capture feedback for continuous improvement 
  • Drive mid and end of season recap process from start to finish with all assigned Partners 
  • Handle all tracking and reporting value of partnership initiatives and objectives
  • Be responsible for and chip in to game day set up and break down in-arena 
  • Onboard and assimilate new Partners to the Celtics organization
  • Work to achieve and/or exceed organization and department renewal revenue targets 

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree and related experience
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in corporate partnership activation or client service, prior experience from a team, league, property, or sports/brand marketing agency is a plus
  • Consistent track record of building and maintaining positive relationships
  • Broad understanding of partnership platforms, content, social media, community engagement, branding, and in-market activation
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills both verbal and written
  • Ability to multitask and adapt to evolving business environments and situations

The Sr. Manager, Fan Intelligence will provide subject matter expertise, technical expertise and thought leadership in the area of Fan Intelligence through first-party fan research on behalf of the NHL League office and the 32 Clubs. Essential Duties

  • Lead survey design for league benchmarking survey over multiple waves throughout each season
  • Wield advanced Tableau skills to display survey results on a Club-by-Club basis and across the League as a whole, in both standardized and ad hoc reporting presentations
  • Utilize market research and analysis experience to guide League and Club stakeholders in interpreting research data and fan input

What Will You Do

  • Support the execution & evaluation of marketing programs from start to finish, driving collaboration with the stakeholders and leveraging the right internal processes
  • Support the development of fully integrated, multi-channel strategic plans for cultural tentpoles, social and content campaigns that specifically target multicultural audiences
  • Assist in submitting creative and digital ticket requests for marketing initiatives
  • Consistently provide analysis and recaps of all campaigns
  • Craft copy to support campaigns and initiatives
  • Proactively seek creative and unique ways to drive affinity for Suns, Arena, and Mercury brands

Position Summary:

The Senior Manager of Fan Engagement for the LA Galaxy will oversee logistics and marketing for the club’s current supporter groups on events, away travel, communications and all internal and external operations while working to grow the supporter community, and impacting the club’s revenue and brand affinity within the marketplace. This role will also focus on generating additional revenue by identifying sales opportunities through effective game day communication, in-stadium touch points, and focusing on season ticket renewals.

Essential Functions:

  • Oversee and manage the Fan Engagement Department to grow club culture by promoting the involvement of supporter groups at LA Galaxy & Galaxy Academy department events.
  • Oversee and plan event logistics and operations as it relates to LA Galaxy supporters and the acquisition of new fans. Manage and streamline communication between supporters, the club, and the facility.
  • Effectively manage and market supporter community events on the campus of Dignity Health Sports Park and in the greater Los Angeles market. Serve as the operational liaison for the fan engagement team and the facility.
  • Develop marketing campaigns to help drive safe-standing sales, renewal and new fan acquisition.
  • Plan, develop, and execute the LA Galaxy away travel plan for the supporter groups while serving as the main point of contact for visiting supporter groups. Manage event logistics in key cities while driving customer retention.
  • Manage community outreach and player participation for supporter driven events in the community. Showcase supporters as an impactful piece of the club’s work in the LA community.
  • Work collectively with the LA Galaxy ticket sales and service team to foster current relationships; conceptualize and develop new sales opportunities through effective game day communication, in-stadium touch points, and season ticket renewals.
  • Manage the development and growth of the Victoria Block Council; This fan council will govern the supporter section in the North End of Dignity Health Sports Park while increasing cross-functional internal supporter communications.
  • Improve efficiencies among current procedures to maximize productivity
  • Participate in budget preparation and monitor expenses and profitability

Required Qualifications:

  • BA/BS Degree (4-year)
  • 4-6 years Related experience in sports and entertainment
  • 2-4 years Related experience leading a fan based program
  • Proven experience working in Game Entertainment and/or Operations, with specific experience directing games and managing a creative team is preferred
  • Experience with a professional sports team is preferred
  • Strong customer service background with the ability to multi-task, meet tight timelines, and work effectively in a high pressure and fast-paced environment
  • Proactive, highly organized, and resourceful with great attention to details
  • Proactive with the ability to work independently without the need for immediate supervision.
  • Exceptional problem-solving skills and ability to prioritize workload efficiently and quickly
  • Must have a strong command of reasoned, measured decision-making based upon analyzing the pros and cons of each potential decision to be made
  • Ability to professionally handle highly sensitive and confidential information
  • Must be creative, idea-oriented, and thrive in a collaborative team-based environment
  • Must be technically proficient with MS Office (Word, PowerPoint, Outlook and Excel) with the ability to learn required business systems
  • Outstanding written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to professionally communicate and interact with all levels of management, staff, etc.
  • Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to build and cultivate relationships
  • Knowledge of soccer and MLS is preferred

  • Partner closely with Sr. Manager and Sr. Director, Social Media to deliver social media strategy
  • Build positive relationships with internal teams and the National Basketball Association to consistently provide updates on social media trends and implement best practices
  • Create content that serves a worldwide audience

Required Experience & skills

  • Bachelor’s degree, preferably in Marketing, or equivalent experience
  • Minimum 3 years of digital or social media experience
  • Knowledge of social media platforms and strategies to optimize engagement.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, Adobe Photoshop, Adobe Premier
  • Intimate understanding for the game of basketball and the team including game day events, statistics, etc.
  • Ability to build positive working relationships with clients and peers at all levels within the organization
  • Excellent written and verbal communication, service and resolution skills
  • Ability to balance multiple projects at once in a fast-paced work environment
