Vision Surveys Secures Naming Rights to Airlie Beach Race Week

The Whitsunday Sailing Club has announced Vision Surveys as its new naming rights sponsor of Airlie Beach Race Week.

Whitsunday Sailing Club Commodore and Race Week Chairman Jim Hayes said he is thrilled to welcome the local survey business and directors Brian Forrester and David Wilson onboard in the 25th anniversary year of the event.

“We are very excited to work beside Vision Surveys this year to put on a very special regatta for our sailors, clinic ” Mr Hayes said, “we are known to have real people, real sailing and real fun”.

Forrester added: “Airlie Beach Race Week brings together everything we love about this area – tropical sailing on clean waters, with amazing scenery and wildlife, together with the real party atmosphere for which Airlie Beach is famous,” Mr Forrester said.

“This place has been really good to us and has supported our business for many years, so it’s great to be giving something back to show our appreciation,” he said.

With plenty of interest surrounding the 25th anniversary, Whitsunday Sailing Club is expecting the biggest event to date in 2014, with Vision Surveys welcoming the participants.

“We look forward to welcoming the entrants, crew and support teams for the visiting yachties to Airlie Beach, and encourage all local business operators to get behind this 25th annual race week and make it a memorable event for locals and visitors alike,” Mr Forrester said.

Janssen Named Official Cardiovascular Partner of NASCAR

NASCAR announced today that Janssen Pharmaceuticals, capsule Inc., ambulance has been named the new Official Cardiovascular Partner of NASCAR.

Blood clots have hit close to home for the NASCAR community. Brian Vickers, full-time driver of the No. 55 Aaron’s Dream Machine Toyota for Michael Waltrip Racing in the NASCAR Sprint Cup Series, recently overcame his second episode with the condition. Having completed his treatment with XARELTO and being cleared by his physician, Brian is now competing again in the NASCAR Sprint Cup Series and is currently 18th in points, with a top-10 finish at the Food City 500 at Bristol Motor Speedway on Sunday, March 16. 

“I’m so grateful for all of the fans who have reached out to me to show their support,” said Vickers. “When I had my first deep vein thrombosis in 2010, I did everything I could to treat it and get back to racing. It worked, but the drug I was prescribed required me to have my blood drawn a lot and avoid certain foods. The second blow came when I developed another clot last year. While it was hard to be away from the track until I completed my treatment, I was relieved that this time around my doctor prescribed me XARELTO, which didn’t require me to have my blood checked regularly or change my diet.”

Pittsburgh Pirates Partners with Local Brewing Company

Major League Baseball franchise Pittsburgh Pirates today announced a multi-year partnership with Pittsburgh Brewing Company.

The beer producer will offer fans in the Pittsburgh market Pirates themed cans throughout the summer of 2014. The Pirates branded cans will feature one of three Pirates designs and will be available in 30-packs throughout the season.

The Pirates and Pittsburgh Brewing will also unveil the I.C. Light Landing at PNC Park. The newly branded area in the left field bleachers area will provide Pittsburgh Brewing with a unique designated location in the ballpark to add to the game day fan experience. The space will include I.C. Light branding, discount in-bowl signage and will have an I.C. Light stand to sell the new Pirates branded cans during all home games.

Pittsburgh Brewing will unveil three Pirates designed I.C. Light cans throughout the year, with the first can design released this month (March) and the remaining two released during the season. The two remaining designs will be available exclusively to Pirates fans at the I.C. Light Landing area a day before the cans go to distributors.

As part of the promotion of the cans, Pittsburgh Brewing Company will launch their “95 Days of Summer” promotion.

The Pacific Street Car Association and Kenzevich Motorsports are partnering with ‘Got Racing?’ Apparel, a brand that will be marketed to drag racers and drag racing fans.

The clothing line has been named as an associate sponsor of the Kenevich Wild Street Mustang starting with this weekend’s Chris Alston’s Chassisworks NorCal Nationals. “The company is thrilled to be with us and we will do our best to bring home a trophy for them,” said Kenzevich Motorsports owner Jason Kenzevich.

Atlantic Multipower Partners with Movistar & Cannondale Pro Cycling

Sports nutrition company, ampoule Atlantic Multipower has announced a new partnership with Movistar Pro Cycling Team and renewed its sponsorship of Cannondale Pro Cycling for the sixth consecutive year.

In addition, Multipower Sportsfood will remain the Official Sports Nutrition Partner for the Giro d’Italia in 2014 and 2015.

Cannondale Pro Cycling and Movistar Pro Cycling Teams both enjoyed considerable success in 2013 and will be fuelled with high performance and recovery sports nutrition products to help boost their 2014 results.

Steinlager Renews All Blacks Sponsorship

Steinlager, pills a New Zealand lager, has extended its support today of the All Blacks, which will take its sponsorship through both the 2015 and 2019 Rugby World Cups.

This coincides with the step up in sponsorship of the All Blacks Sevens team, which will see Steinlager as the official sponsor of the team as they strive for gold at the 2016 and 2020 Olympics.

The agreement includes an extensive partnership for the 2017 British & Irish Lions Tour of New Zealand and also secures naming rights to the three test match Steinlager Series’ for 2014, 2016, 2018 and 2020.

St. Louis Cardinals Announce AT&T as Ballpark Village Sponsor

Major League Baseball’s St. Louis Cardinals have announced wireless provider AT&T as the naming rights sponsor for Ballpark Village’s two-story seating deck atop Cardinals Nation.

As part of the multi-year agreement, the Cardinals Nation ticketed deck will be known as the AT&T Rooftop. Tickets for the AT&T Rooftop go on sale tomorrow at 10 a.m. at cardinals.com.

England Cricket Secures Hardys as Official Wine Partner

Australian wine producer Hardys has been revealed as England Cricket’s Official Wine partner, the England and Wales Cricket Board have announced today.

In a three-year sponsorship deal, Hardys will promote their products and offer samples to fans at England’s home international fixtures as well as promoting their association with England Cricket through advertising and marketing campaigns.

Fifth generation Hardy family member William (Bill) Hardy said: “We are very excited to partner with England Cricket. It is a sport close to my heart and has been enjoyed by the many generations of the Hardy family.”

Michael Clarke to Endorse Rawlings Sporting Goods

Australian cricket captain Michael Clarke has signed a multi-year endorsement deal with Rawlings Sporting Goods Company, Inc

Clarke joins Rawlings international roster of professional athletes who play integral roles in the development of their on-field equipment and training products.

Clarke will travel to the United States this April to collaborate with Rawlings product management team on the development of his signature fielders’ glove line, set to debut worldwide later this year.
