Sales Sharks Owner In Improved Offer For Glasgow Rangers

April 19, 2012

It is understood that Brian Kennedy, owner of the Sales Sharks, has firmed up his interest in SPL giants Rangers by mounting an improved bid for the club.

The situation is now in the hands of the club’s administrators where a decision is due to be made in the near future.

Kennedy’s initial offer for Rangers was rejected, but the BBC reports that he has come back to the table after Paul Murray’s Blue Knights group failed to pay a £500,000 deposit for exclusivity.

In other news, Ticketus, the ticketing company with rights to more than £25m of ticketing revenue from Ibrox over the next three seasons, told the Press Association: ‘Despite some reports we have been talking to Paul Murray by phone on and off since Monday, we are still talking about a possible joint bid. We are also still in discussion with the Singaporean bidders.’

Bill Ng is the man responsible for the Singaporean consortium with another group headed by American Bill Miller.
