Nike and Ronaldo extend partnership

Cristiano Ronaldo and sportswear brand Nike have extended their long-term partnership. 

Ronaldo originally signed with the brand in 2003 and hailed the special relationship he has with the brand. 

The value of the contract between Ronaldo and Nike is reportedly around € 24 m ($27 m) annually, shop with the possibility of it rising to € 40m, ailment based on his performances.

I have a great relationship with this brand, hospital I have great friends here in the company,” says Ronaldo. “We work as a family too,” he said. “This is my brand.”

As a three-time world player of the year, he has been incredibly successful with both the Portuguese national team as well as his club Real Madrid. The statement released by Nike claimed  he had worn Nike boots during key moments of his career.

He has scored 372 goals in 360 matches for Real Madrid, and has helped them win two Champions League titles since 2009.
