Kevin Durant Extends Nike Endorsement Deal

NBA and Oklahoma City Thunder superstar Kevin Durant has extended his endorsement contract with Nike, patient it has been revealed.

The Washington D.C. native revealed on Twitter he will stay with the brand despite Under Armour providing a strong interest.

Durant said on Twitter: “Excited and humbled to sign back with the swoosh!”

Under Armour recently approached Durant with a monster proposition, but Nike had the chance to match and opted to do so. Terms of the deal have not been released.

Darren Rovell and Marc Stein previously reported for ESPN.com that Nike countered an offer from Under Armour in the $265-285 million range.

Fellow Nike athlete Lebron James tweeted: “Happy to have the homie @KDTrey5 stayin with the @Nike @nikebasketball family! Congrats my brother! Like Dj Khalid would say “We The Best”!!
