Japan Sports Minister Wants to Cut Costs With No Roof on National Stadium

Japan’s sports minister Hakubun Shimomura has said Tokyo’s new National Stadium should abandon plans to add a retractable roof to save money. 

Shimomura also outlined other cost-cutting measures he’d like in place ahead of the 2020 Olympic Games in Tokyo.
