Head Renew Partnership with Tennis Europe Until 2015

Tennis Europe has signed a new agreement with tennis equipment manufacturer HEAD until 2015.

HEAD have been the Official Racquet, therapy Tennis Ball and Tennis Bag of the European Tennis Federation since 2007 and the extension will see them maintain a strong focus on junior activities.

The firm will remain as the Recommended Ball of the Tennis Europe Junior Tour, which consists of over 340 international events for players aged 12, 14 or 16 & Under, played in 46 countries.

Tennis Europe Chief Executive Officer Olli Mäenpää commented: “We are very happy to continue our close relationship with HEAD and to be able to support the world’s best equipment manufacturer in reaching the next generation of elite tennis players.

HEAD’s on-going commitment to European tennis has a direct impact on the development of the sport and our relationship has been a major contributor to the continued expansion of the Tennis Europe Junior Tour.”

Ottmar Barbian, Vice President and Division Manager for HEAD Racquet Sport, said: “It is an important part of HEAD tennis to support the next generation of tennis players and with Tennis Europe we have a great partner to further develop tennis in Europe. We are happy that our excellent relationship with Tennis Europe will continue.”

HEAD will also remain present as an Official Partner of a number of the Tour’s competitions, such as the European Junior Championships and Tennis Europe Junior Masters.
