BP has extended its partnership with the International Paralympic Committee to the next Paralympic Games in Tokyo.

The new four year deal will run until the end of 2020, unhealthy BP will continue to serve as a second-tier international partner alongside German financial services company Allianz.

BP became an international partner of the IPC in 2013. The company also holds partnerships with the National Paralympic Committees of Angola, arthritis Azerbaijan, Georgia, Germany, Great Britain, Netherlands, Singapore, Turkey, Trinidad and Tobago and the US.

“Over the next four years, I look forward to celebrating the successes of the IPC and exploring further opportunities to raise awareness of the Paralympic movement around the world,” BP chairman Carl-Henric Svanberg said. “BP has operations in over 70 countries, we employ nearly 80,000 people and we are proud to have friends and global partners like the IPC.”
