Bandit Industries to Sponsor JD Motorsports in Two-Race Deal

August 7, 2014

Bandit Industries has signed a two-race deal to sponsor Jeffrey Earnhardt and JD Motorsports in the NASCAR Nationwide Series.

Bandit will race with Earnhardt as the primary sponsor at Mid-Ohio for the Nationwide Children’s Hospital 200 Aug. 16. Bandit will return with Earnhardt as a co-primary sponsor for the VisitMyrtleBeach.com 300 at Kentucky Speedway Sept. 20.

“We are very excited to get back on the track in NASCAR, and to make this return with Jeff and the Earnhardt legacy is truly an honor for us,” said Bandit’s NASCAR Marketing Manager and Communications Director Christopher Smith. “Jeff is rising through the ranks, and though we only have a couple races scheduled for 2014, they will be events that our fans and customers will remember for years.”

After opening the 2014 NASCAR season with Parker Kligerman in the NASCAR Camping World Truck Series at Daytona, Bandit moved to track sponsorships for the two NASCAR race weekends at Michigan International Speedway, the local track for the Michigan-based manufacturer. Bandit’s second race weekend at MIS will take place concurrently with the Aug. 16 Nationwide race at Mid-Ohio.

“Jeffrey and I are delighted to have Bandit on board with the team this week and beyond,” said team owner Johnny Davis. “Good partners make for good results, and we’re going into these final months of the season excited about the possibilities.”

Jeffrey Earnhardt drives the No. 4 Chevrolet for JD Motorsports, based in Gaffney, S.C. He is the grandson of NASCAR legend Dale Earnhardt, son of retired NASCAR driver Kerry Earnhardt, and nephew of current NASCAR Sprint Cup driver Dale Earnhardt Jr.
