Al Romaithi to Open Arabian Sport & Sponsorship Forum 2016

Under the patronage of his Highness Sheikh Nahyan bin Zayed al Nahyan, prescription the Chairman of Abu Dhabi Sports Council, Professional Sports Group has announced the region’s leading sports marketing conference will return to Abu Dhabi on 19th January 2016.

The Arabian Sport and Sponsorship Forum will bring together global business leaders, international sports luminaries and GCC industry leaders alongside local undergraduates to discuss the opportunities and landscape of both sport and sponsorship.

Headline speakers of the Forum announced today include: HE Mohamed Khalfan Al Romaithi, Executive Committee Asian Football Confederation; Keith Pelley, CEO of the European Tour; Simon Clegg, COO Baku 2015 and former CEO of British Olympic Association, Giles Morgan, Global Head of Sponsorship and Events HSBC and Steve Nuttall, Senior Director Google You Tube EMEA.

The Forum is free for all federations and GCC sponsors thanks to the sponsorship of platinum partner Abu Dhabi Sports Council. His Excellency Aref Hamad Al Awani, the General Secretary of Abu Dhabi Sports Council, is pleased to see the return of the Forum to the capital: they are pleased to see the Forum held under the patronage of H.H. Sheikh Nahyan bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Chairman of Abu Dhabi Sports Council, and to be held in Abu Dhabi for the third time.

He said: “The Arabian Sport & Sponsorship Forum will help us to further develop sport in both a social and economic capacity in Abu Dhabi and the region. We are looking forward to welcoming our guests to Yas Marina Circuit.”

The Forum is intent on showcasing career opportunities in both sport and sponsorship to local university graduates and undergraduates.

This Future Vision initiative will be led by one of the world’s leading academics, Professor Dr T Bettina Cornwell from the Lundquist College of Business at The University of Oregon. Dr Cornwell is widely regarded as one of the world’s top sponsorship academics.

She will visit 3 of the UAE’s leading universities on Monday 18th January to introduce students to sponsorship.
