Pittsburgh Pirates Inks New Sponsorship Deal with Rivertowne Brewing Company

Major League Baseball’s Pittsburgh Pirates have announced they have agreed a sponsorship deal with Pittsburgh area-based Rivertowne Brewing Company that includes the naming rights to the PNC Park Hall of Fame Club.

The partnership between the club and the local brewing company began in 2009 and gradually grew into a long term commitment by the brewer. This is in large part attributed to the great relationship developed between Rivertowne Brewing and the team, but also to the Pirates locally-based philosophy of incorporating Pittsburgh establishments into the PNC Park experience.

“The Pirates continually strive to use local vendors at PNC Park when possible and this is another great example of the success the team has had in incorporating local businesses,” said Pirates President Frank Coonelly. “The inclusion of Pittsburgh businesses like Rivertowne Brewing in and around the ballpark is what makes every visit to PNC Park a true Pittsburgh experience.”

The new Rivertowne Brewing Hall of Fame Club is a unique area of the ballpark open to all ticket holders before, during and after each game. 

The club offers a casual dining and sports bar atmosphere with wait service and features an open-floor plan with table seating for more than 215 guests and 20 flat screen High Definition televisions to ensure fans do not miss a moment of the action on the field.

Volkswagen Sponsors Russian Biathlon Union

German automotive manufacturer, symptoms Volkswagen have announced a long-term cooperation with the Russian Biathlon Union (RBU).

From today Volkswagen will support the men’s and women’s teams as well as the youth work of the RBU. Volkswagen will be present as an official sponsor for the first time at the Champions Race 2013 on April 6 in Moscow.

Within the partnership, order Volkswagen will be providing the Russian Biathlon Union with a comprehensive fleet consisting of Volkswagen Touareg, Passat Alltrack, Transporter and Caravelle vehicles. In future, Volkswagen Passenger Cars and Volkswagen Commercial Vehicles will together ensure the mobility of RBU athletes and coaches, for example at the various events in the World Cup and the IBU Cup.

As a sign of the partnership, Volkswagen will be involved as a sponsor for the first time at the “Champions Race”. The world’s 20 best biathletes will compete against each other in men’s’ and women’s mass start events as well as a mixed relay race. Volkswagen will be providing a vehicle fleet for the participants and organizers. The event will be modeled on the Christmas biathlon event, the “Biathlon World Team Challenge” in Gelsenkirchen.

Together with football and ice hockey, biathlon is one of the most popular sports in Russia. The Champions Race will be followed by biathlon fans in Russia and throughout the world. The event has been held in Moscow since 2011 and has traditionally been organized by the Russian Biathlon Union.

NASL’s San Antonio Scorpions Acquire New Sponsors

North American Soccer League’s San Antonio Scorpions have announced a new sponsorship deal with Miller Lite and Glazer’s Distributors.

The partnership, which is among the best in minor professional sports, will see Miller Lite become the “Official Beer” of the San Antonio Scorpions. Toyota Field will now have the Miller Lite Beer Garden on its south end for fans to enjoy during games, and the Miller Lite logo will also appear on all team jerseys during the season as well as around Toyota Field.

“We are excited to partner with MillerCoors and Glazer’s,” said Cornfield. “The new Miller Lite Beer Garden will be a great addition to the Toyota Field game experience.”

Along with their partnership with the Scorpions, Miller Lite is actively committed to helping spread the word for Soccer for a Cause and believes strongly in the Scorpions’ initiative to the special needs community.

Bose Becomes Official Home Theater System of PGA Tour

The Bose Corporation has agreed a three-year sponsorship agreement for category rights in China for the PGA Tour, nurse  marking the first official corporate sponsorship the TOUR has made with exclusive rights outside the United States.

The Bose Shanghai-headquartered subsidiary joins the TOUR’s Official Marketing Partner program and has been granted designations as Official Home Theater Systems, vialis 40mg Home Audio Systems, and Headphones of the PGA TOUR and Champions Tour in China.

As an official sponsor, Bose will have the right to use the PGA TOUR and Champions Tour logos in China to promote products in China, Hong Kong, Taiwan and Macau.

The Pepsi IPL 2013 will be played from 3 April 2013 to 26 May 2013. Kolkata Knight Riders, the 2012 winners, will play the first match of the 2013 season on home turf, at the Eden Gardens, Kolkata, against Delhi Daredevils, on 3 April 2013.

Nine teams will play each other twice – at home and away, in a total of 72 league matches. The top four teams, in terms of points, at the end of the league stage on Sunday, 19 May 2013, will qualify for the Playoffs. The final will be played on Sunday, 26 May 2013, at the Eden Gardens, Kolkata.

Pittsburgh Penguins Renews Sponsorship Deal with Dr Pepper Snapple Group

Dr Pepper Snapple Group have extended their sponsorship deal with the Pittsburgh Penguins for an additional seven years, buy through July 2020.

As the exclusive provider of carbonated soft drinks and other beverages at the CONSOL Energy Center since 2010, DPS gives fans a lot of flavor with more than 30 products to enjoy — such as Dr Pepper, Diet Dr Pepper, 7UP, RC Cola and more — while cheering on the Penguins. The agreement also covers teas, bottled water, energy drinks, juices and juice drinks.

In addition to exclusive vending and pouring rights, DPS will receive certain advertising provisions such as radio broadcast, in-venue signs and an annual playoff promotion. It will also continue its “Cap Trick” program, an under the cap contest where fans can accrue and redeem points with the purchase of select DPS beverages and participate in fun online activities for Penguins tickets and gear.

Panther Racing Renews Lincoln Technical Sponsorship for 2013 IndyCar Season

Two-time IndyCar Series Champion Panther Racing announced it has extended its relationship with Lincoln Technical Institute for the 2013 IndyCar Series season.

Lincoln Tech has been associated with Panther Racing since 2006 and John Barnes, order the team’s Managing Partner and CEO, sale is a Lincoln Tech graduate and a member of the Lincoln Tech Hall of Fame.
