WH Bond & Sons Renews Plymouth Argyle Shirt Sponsorship

English League Two team, impotent Plymouth Argyle have retained WH Bond & Sons as their primary shirt sponsor for next season.

The deal will see WH Bond sponsor the front of the home and away strips for next season with their Bond Timber brand, as they have done for the past two years. 

Argyle’s Commercial Operations Manager James Greenacre said: “I am delighted that WH Bond & Sons have agreed to continue their relationship with Plymouth Argyle for the coming season. 

“We are confident that the partnership will assist Argyle in our ambitions for the near future, and will also provide WH Bond with the local and national exposure that their brand rightly deserves.” 

WH Bond took the decision to become a major sponsor of Argyle in the summer of 2011. WH Bond & Sons were established in 1957 as a family farming business. 

Chris Bond, of WH Bond, said: “We are proud to maintain our association with Plymouth Argyle, and can’t wait to see the new shirts being worn for the first time at Home Park. 

“This deal reaffirms our commitment to Argyle and we’re looking forward to seeing John Sheridan take the team to the other end of the table next season.” 

Suzuki Retain Melbourne Storm Sponsorship

Melbourne Storm have revealed Japanese car manufacturer Suzuki have extended their partnership with the Australian Rugby League team until the 2016 season.

The new agreement will see Suzuki retain its sleeve sponsorship branding position with the reigning NRL premiers and world champions, pills as well as exclusivity in the club’s motor vehicle partner category. 

Announcing the sponsorship agreement today, unhealthy Suzuki Australia Automobiles General Manager Tony Devers and Melbourne Storm chairman Bart Campbell, said the partnership was a significant one for both parties.

Suzuki Australia Automobiles General Manager, Tony Devers, commented: “In its 105-year heritage, Suzuki has a culture of developing profitable and long-standing partnerships and we are very excited about continuing with Melbourne Storm.”

Axalta Coating Renews Hendrick Motorsports Sponsorship

Axalta Coating Systems, stuff formally Dupont, buy announced today that the company has extended it’s sponsorship with Hendrick Motorsports and Jeff Gordon through 2016.

Axalta Coating Systems and Hendrick Motorsports announced that the new three year contract will include Axalta being the primary sponsor for Jeff Gordon 10 races a year for each of the next three season. During the remaining 26 races Axalta will remain a associate sponsor. 

Jeff Gordon commented on the deal:. “I’m so excited that Axalta has decided to move forward with us beyond 2013, unhealthy ” Gordon said. “They’ve been with me since the beginning and I look forward to a lot more racing, some more wins and hopefully another championship with them before it’s all over.”

Sunoco to Sponsor Indy 500 Champion Tony Kanaan for Four Races

Recently-crowned Indianapolis 500 champion, Tony Kanaan has another reason to be happy after revealing he has extended his relationship with longtime Indy car sponsor Sunoco.

Kanaan will drive the No. 11 Sunoco “Turbo” car at the IZOD IndyCar Series events at Texas Motor Speedway (June 8), Iowa Speedway (June 23), Pocono Raceway (July 7) and Mid-Ohio Sports Car Course (Aug. 4).

The car’s livery will feature the lead character from the upcoming DreamWorks Animation feature film “Turbo” about a snail whose dreams of competing in the Indianapolis 500 come true. It features the IZOD IndyCar Series and Indianapolis Motor Speedway.

“By leveraging its association with the upcoming DreamWorks feature film ‘Turbo,’ Sunoco provides the perfect activation platform to bring the excitement surrounding the film’s release directly to the fans at the racetrack,” said INDYCAR executive vice president of business development Greg Gruning.

Sunoco’s first Indy car race as a primary sponsor was Dec. 1, 1968, at Riverside, Calif. The No. 12 Sunoco Eagle driven by Mark Donohue for Penske Racing started fifth and finished 21st (broken right-front suspension). In 1972, the No. 66 Sunoco McLaren won the Indianapolis 500 – the first for Roger Penske, Donohue and Sunoco.

Sunoco, which has been INDYCAR’s Official Fuel and Convenience Store since 2010, returned to IndyCar racing as a primary sponsor in the 97th Indianapolis 500 on May 26 on the No. 60 Sunoco “Turbo” Panther Racing car driven by Townsend Bell.

Abacus to Sponsor European Senior Tour’s Steen Tinning

Abacus Sportswear, hospital the leading Swedish golf clothing brand and pioneer of stretch waterproof fabrics, story has signed an apparel agreement with the European Senior Tour player Steen Tinning.

Tinning is a two-time European Tour Champion, winning the 2000 Celtic Manor Resort Wales Open and the 2002 Telefoncia Open de Madrid.

The Danish star, who turned professional in 1985, is also a former World and European Junior Champion and joined the European Senior Tour in October 2012 following his 50th birthday.

Rado Agree Lucrative LTA Partnership

Swiss watch brand, help Rado has annunced today an Official Partnership with the LTA for the next three years.

The partnership not only sees Rado strengthen its commitment to tennis, find but will also see the brand as the Official Timekeeper of the Aegon Championships at The Queen’s Club in London, online the Aegon Classic at Edgbaston Priory Club in Birmingham and the Aegon International at Devonshire Park in Eastbourne.

Jay was a second-round Draft pick by the St. Louis Cardinals in 2006 and made his Major League debut on April 26, 2010.  A centerfielder, Jay is off to a great start this season as the Cardinals top all of Major League baseball with a current 38-20 record.

Another centerfielder, Jones was drafted by the Seattle Mariners in the first round of the 2003 Draft and was traded to the Baltimore Orioles in 2008. Drafted as a shortstop, Jones eventually moved his speed and athleticism to the outfield.  His career has flourished over the past five years with the Orioles and in 2012, Jones became the second-highest paid centerfielder in Major League Baseball, hit the 100th homerun of his career, set a career-high 32 home runs in a single season, and was named the Most Valuable Oriole for the second year in a row.

STX Renew LXM PRO Tour Premium Sponsorship

Baltimore-based STX, LLC, a global sporting goods leader, announced today they have extended their ties with Lacrosse’s LXM PRO Tour as a premium sponsor.

Last year, STX acquired the naming rights to the western LXM PRO team, now titled Team STX. As a part of the new multi-year sponsorship, STX will provide custom lacrosse equipment including gloves, heads and handles for Adrenaline events, leagues and club programs. Programs will include LXM PRO, Adrenaline High Rollers, Sonoma Showcase, Sonoma Shootout and West Coast Starz.

Cristiano Ronaldo to Endorse Herbalife

Global nutrition brand, find Herbalife, generic has announced that it will become the official nutrition sponsor of international football player, arthritis Cristiano Ronaldo.

The Portuguese international, who plays his club football for Real Madrid in Spain, will work with Ronaldo to develop and optimize his personal nutrition program and provide him with a range of sports nutrition products.

The five-year, multi-million dollar contract with Ronaldo includes global publicity rights and various joint promotional activities. It also includes the opportunity for Herbalife and Ronaldo to work together to develop a new co-branded range of sports nutrition products.
