Anritsu Sponsors Frys.com Open

Anritsu Company, a provider of communications test and measurement solutions, has announced it has become a corporate sponsor of the 2013 Frys.com Open PGA TOUR tournament to be held at CordeValle in San Martin, CA, and part of the PGA TOUR’s Fall Series.

Defending champion Jonas Blixt is scheduled to play in the tournament against some of golf’s top tour players, including rising star Brooks Koepka, 2008 Masters Champion Trevor Immelman, and former British Open Champions Stewart Cink and Ben Curtis. Competitive rounds begin on Thursday, October 10, with the Final rounds on Sunday, October 13.

CU to Sponsor Red Bull Racing for Korean Grand Prix

Infiniti Red Bull Racing have announced today that convenience store company, CU, will be an official team partner for the Korean Grand Prix, for the third consecutive year since 2011.

As an official race partner, CU will see its logos feature on the overalls of World Champion Sebastian Vettel and Mark Webber throughout the race weekend, as well as on both RB9s.

Since launching in Korea in August 2011, Red Bull’s growth in the country has been in line with that of the convenience store industry. Red Bull is now available in 8,000 CU stores across Korea.

CU hopes to generate brand exposure with the Red Bull partnership and enhance the status of its convenience chain stores.

The Director of Merchandising Division, Ki Yong Lee, said “Red Bull has now solidified its position as the leading premium energy drink in Korea’s market. Forty-nine per cent of Red Bull consumers are men in their 20-30s and we believe that CU’s Team Partnership with Red Bull Racing offers us a big chance to offer brand exposure to this target group.”

Under Armour to Supply English Lacrosse

English Lacrosse have announced a three-year partnership with sportswear brand Under Armour. 

Team England Men will be the first beneficiaries of the deal, as they prepare for the 2014 Men’s Lacrosse World Championships in Denver.

Caroline Royle, Marketing Manager of English Lacrosse, said: “English Lacrosse has grown exponentially, this development has increased the need to work with organisational partners.

PGA Tour Expands USA Today Digital Partnership

The PGA TOUR has expanded today their multi-year marketing partnership with USA TODAY Sports Media Group.

The new deal will include significant digital partnership initiatives across both PGATOUR Digital and USA TODAY Sports digital platforms.

As part of the agreement, discount | the PGA TOUR and USA TODAY Sports will collaborate on several different digital content initiatives in 2014 and beyond, ampoule including stats/scoring, doctor news/editorial, and PGA TOUR video.  On the print side of the partnership, USA TODAY Sports will continue to receive exclusive category rights to use their association and TOUR logos for sales and marketing purposes.

Parramatta Eels Signs New Major Sponsor

Australian National Rugby League team Parramatta Eels have announced Dyldam as the club’s latest major sponsor from 2014, for the next 3 seasons.

A corporate supporter of the Eels since 1998, Dyldam took up jersey sleeve sponsorship in 2011. This is a position they will maintain, choosing to upgrade their partnership to now include the prime position on the front of the Eels jersey.

Dyldam is a private residential development group founded in Australia in 1969 by Naim and Joseph Khattar, responsible for some of the most iconic development projects in Western Sydney.

Chief Operating Officer Fayad Fayad is proud to be taking his organisation’s connection with the Eels to the next level.

Rogers Named Official Telecommunications Sponsor of Edmonton Oilers

Edmonton Oilers of the National Hockey League have agreed a multi-year partnership with Rogers Communications. 

Rogers will be the official telecommunications sponsor of the Oilers.

Rogers has acquired the official sponsorship and marketing rights for the Oilers, the Edmonton Oil Kings and Rexall Place, the home arena for the two clubs. Building on a multi-year investment in Alberta, this partnership continues Rogers’ commitment to Canadian sports and marks a new sponsorship era for the Oilers.

Coles to Sponsor Netball Australia

Australian supermarket chain Coles has announced a new partnership Netball Australia.

Coles will become the official supermarket sponsor of Netball Australia’s School Program and naming rights partner for the upcoming Test series, stomach which includes three Tests against the New Zealand Silver Ferns and two Tests against the Malawi Queens.

The Coles Netball Schools Program encourages teachers, principals and sports coordinators to register to become school ambassadors to ensure netball has a continuous presence in schools.

The partnership will see Australian Diamonds Madison Browne (Melbourne Vixens), Rebecca Bulley (Adelaide Thunderbirds), Kim Green (NSW Swifts), Demelza McCloud (Queensland Firebirds) and Natalie Medhurst (West Coast Fever) visit schools as ambassadors.

“The Coles Netball Schools Program consists of a range of initiatives, programs and resources that have been designed specifically to increase netball’s presence in schools,” Netball Australia CEO Kate Palmer said.

Derby County Reveal Total Hire as Official Sponsor of South Stand

Derby County have announced that Total Hire and Sales as the official sponsor of the South Stand at Pride Park Stadium for the 2013/14 season. 

The official opening took place at Pride Park Stadium earlier this week with Derby’s President & Chief Executive Sam Rush and Carl Tidey, advice Director & General Manager and Andy Sewards Managing Director  of Total Hire and Sales, doctor representing their respective parties.

Nordea Renew Title Sponsorship of Scandinavian Masters

Nordea, Scandinavia’s largest bank, will remain the title sponsor of European Tour’s Scandinavian Masters after a three-year extension to their deal.

The Nordea Masters will be played at PGA of Sweden National in Bara, near Malmö, for the next two years, before returning to Bro Hof GC in 2016.

Lagardére Scandinavia, who run the ATP and WTA tennis events in Båstad and promote the IF Stockholm Open on the ATP Tour, has taken over the running of the Nordea Masters from Björn Örås, owner of last year’s host venue, Bro Hof Golf Club as well.

“Our ambition is to grow the tournament together with Nordea, and elevate it to the position as one of Europe’s most important golf events. Henrik’s success will inspire a new generation of golfers, and we are very happy that he will play in front of his home fans,” said Thomas Wallén, representative of Lagardére Scandinavia.
