Warwickshire Cricket Extends Free Radio Partnership

Warwickshire County Cricket Club have renewed their partnership with Free Radio for a music mix to be played at the Birmingham Bears NatWest T20 Blast matches for a further two years.

Free Radio will continue to be the Club’s Official Media Partner, and the new deal will see presenter Ed Nell act as the Match Day Host at the Birmingham Bears’ NatWest T20 Blast home games. The station will also promote the Bears T20 campaign through commercial airtime and play its ‘best music mix’ at each match, starting with the Birmingham Bears v Yorkshire Vikings on Friday 23 May.

Tom Rawlings, Communications Manager at Warwickshire CCC, said: “Our five Friday nights matches at Edgbaston in the NatWest T20 Blast will be a great way to start the weekend, and securing Free Radio and Ed Nell as our match day host will provide a fantastic experience to our supporters in the stadium.

“Free Radio has an excellent reach across the West Midlands region and our partnership forms a key part of growing our attendances in cricket’s most popular form of the game.”

As part of the activation, Free Radio will receive headline branding on Edgbaston’s new West Stand as well as receiving tickets and hospitality at Birmingham Bears home games.

Kansas Lottery Renews Title Sponsorship of NASCAR Nationwide Series Race

Kansas Lottery has extended its partnership with Kansas Speedway remaining the title sponsor of the NASCAR Nationwide Series race.

Kansa Lottery has been a partner of the Speedway since 2001 and will ontinue as the “Official Lottery of Kansas Speedway.” The Kansas Lottery 300 will return to Kansas Speedway on Oct. 4.

Alessandro Zanardi Joins BMW as Brand Ambassador

Motorsport veteran Alessandro Zanardi has been appointed as a new BMW Brand Ambassador.

In this role the BMW works driver will not only represent the brand by competing in the Blancpain Sprint Series, order but also off the race-track.

In 2001 the double ChampCar champion and former Formula One driver lost both legs in a serious racing accident.Only two years later, apoplectic Zanardi returned to motorsport, medic competing in BMW racing cars specially modified for his needs. In the FIA World Touring Car Championship (WTCC) he celebrated four victories together with ROAL Motorsport.

In total he contested more than 100 races in this series between 2005 and 2009. During his last WTCC season Zanardi started his second career in paracycling and made his big dream come true: to participate at the 2012 Paralympic Games in London (GB).

MMA Fighter Ryan Jimmo Signs Endorsement Deal with Axxess Pharma

Westfield Acquires Naming Rights to FFA Cup

Westfield has secured naming rights to the FFA Cup, Football Federation Australia’s national cup competition, for the next three seasons.

Speaking at today’s historic announcement, FFA CEO David Gallop, paid tribute to the support that Westfield provides to football in Australia.

“It gives me great pleasure to announce that one of Australia’s iconic businesses, Westfield, will be the inaugural Naming Rights Partner of the FFA Cup,” said Gallop.

“FFA has enjoyed a long and mutually beneficial relationship with Westfield since 2008, and we are delighted that the partnership has been renewed for a further three years.

No. 1 NFL Draft Pick Jadeveon Clowney Inks Puma Endorsement Deal

No. 1 Draft pick Jadeveon Clowney has signed an endorsement deal with Puma. 

The South Carolina defensive end was selected No.1 overall by the Houston Texans last night.

The news initially reported by ESPN did not state the terms of the deal.

Puma does not have a deal with the NFL, so Clowney will not be able to wear Puma cleats in game.

“He represents everything we are and the consumer we are trying to attract,” said Jay Piccola, president of Puma North America, who presented Clowney with custom snakeskin Puma shoes valued at $2,500.

“I’m going to try to carry my name as far as I can,” said Clowney, who also has signed a draft-week deal with Gillette and longer-term deals with New Era and Wilson. “I’ll have a new hit for you too. Stay tuned. It’s going to come.”

Clowney joins Minnesota Vikings wide receiver Cordarrelle Patterson, New England Patriots wide receiver Julian Edelman and Kansas City Chiefs running back Jamaal Charles as other Puma endorsers in the league.

CSKA Moscow Sign Russian Helicopters Partnership

Russian aircraft manufacturer Russian Helicopters, whose principal shareholder is aerospace holding company Oboronprom, has inked a sponsorship deal with CSKA Moscow.

The deal was first reported by Inside World Football.

“I’m persuaded that our cooperation will help the team and bolster the performance of Russian sportsmen,” said Alexander Mikheev, the Russian Helicopter’s chief executive.

“The support provided by the representatives of a major Russian industry is very important to us,” said Yevgeni Giner, CSKA’s owner and chief executive.

Mikheev said that Russian Helicopters are interested in maintaining good relations with Russia’s armed forces, which is another reason for supporting CSKA. The club used to be Army-run in the Soviet times.
