Job Purpose

Reporting to the Senior Marketing Manager, the Marketing Executive will support Formula E’s marketing strategy with a focus on marketing planning and operations, brand campaign execution, talent and activations. 

We are positioned for growth, focusing on building our direct to fan proposition alongside a powerful platform for Partners, Teams and Manufacturers. Working collaboratively with other Formula E departments and global agency partners, you will play a key part in delivering best-in-class campaigns to support our growth ambition. 

Key Deliverables

Implement global and local marketing activity, while maintaining high standards and delivering against our KPI’s

Delivering on both a tactical and operational level you’ll work across paid, event and digital marketing, collaborating cross-functionally to ensure effectiveness and excellence in all activities. 

Duties & Responsibilities

Marketing Planning and Operations 

  • Act as Studio Manager for the Video Creative Editor, ensuring projects are well briefed, reviewed and delivered on time.
  • Work horizontally across the team to plan distribution and amplification of content, whilst maximising the impact of our assets.
  • Collaboration with the Design and Content teams, partners and wider ecosystem on the development and timely approval of assets.
  • Manage the process for the wider brand and marketing team to submit and track POs, ensuring timely payment is made to suppliers.
  • Work cross-functionally with Event Experience, CRM, Gaming, Merchandise and Commercial teams, ensuring regular and accurate information flow.
  • Deliver regular reporting documents including post-event campaign reports and evaluation of brand campaigns.

Brand Campaigns

  • Develop marketing tactics to support brand awareness, broadcast tune-in and fan growth.
  • Supporting across consumer partnerships and develop mutual activation tactics to drive awareness and engagement of our brand.
  • Nurture external relationships with agency partners, racing teams, championship sponsors.

Talent and Influencer

  • Support the Talent and Influencer Managers with execution and delivery of their programmes. Includes contract negotiation, budget management, arranging travel and logistics, on-site talent hosting, reporting, identifying promotional opportunities and partner integration. 

Activations

  • Develop creative concepts and see through to production with activations in race cities.
  • Identifying new and innovative ways to bring the brand to life, connecting with a local and global audience.

Requirements:

Educational Attainment

  • A degree in a relevant field will be useful but is not a mandatory requirement. 

Knowledge Required

  • Understand the creative process from conception through to production

Experience Required 

  • Experience of working for a challenging brand or for a sports right holder will be beneficial.
  • Proven experience working in marketing, either for a brand or agency. 

Skills and Aptitudes Required

  • Strong attention to detail and excellent written and verbal communication skills are essential, as is the ability to work under minimum supervision to strict deadlines and to be able to quickly adapt to changing business needs.

Content and PR Manager – Ascot Racecourse

As a member of the Ascot Marketing Team, you’ll be responsible for developing, creating and delivering lifestyle content and PR campaigns to raise awareness and understanding of Ascot Racedays, Royal Ascot and Events at Ascot – the racecourse’s corporate events division. Community Communications Manager – England Rugby

This role requires an experienced communications professional who is a talented copy writer and who demonstrates high standards and accuracy across their work.

The role holder will lead on internal game communications, focusing on two-way communications between the RFU and key stakeholders. The primary focus of the role will be to drive player affiliation/registration through clear and engaging communications which explain the process and its benefits. The role holder will be responsible for developing the narrative and managing communications relating to the Platform for Rugby, Game Management System (GMS), data management and digital data content strategy.

Alongside being an integral member of the communications team, the role holder will work closely with a range of subject matter experts (SMEs) and stakeholders, including the Technology, Insights, CRM and Rugby Development teams, as well as Community Game Board (CGB) Constituent Body (CB) and club representatives. A key part of the job will be to ensure that those involved in playing, managing and running the community game are provided with timely, useful and engaging information to support them.

Accountabilities:

  • Develop and implement the communications plan to support the roll out of the Platform for Rugby and affiliation/registration processes.
  • Lead on communications relating to the RFU’s digital data content transformation strategy.
  • Provide content for and post on a variety of communication channels including Facebook, Twitter, web, email (working with the CRM team), Articulate and online portals.

Head of Race and Market Development – Formula 1

Race Promotion is a key pillar of Formula 1’s business, contracting and delivering the live platform where fans can experience the thrill and entertainment of the sport. The Race Promotion Team works with Promoters of existing races as well as negotiating the inclusion of new races on the Championship calendar, in line with Formula 1’s strategic commercial objectives.

This role leads, develops and manages a strategically selected group of race promoters within the F1 eco-system with the goal of a continued evolution of the market and the commercial opportunity with each promoter, race, and the market destination the race takes place within.

This position is responsible for developing the commercial opportunities within these markets and ensuring continued excellence by both the promoter and F1 in the delivery of the annual race. 

The Head of Race Development supports all business effort of a portfolio of promoter markets. He/she will assist promoters/markets in applying best practices learned from other promoters, sports, events, and industries. This includes development and implementation of best practices in the areas of: marketing, ticketing, digital, event operations, H&S, security, M&TC, partnerships, broadcast & production.

Each race/market within your portfolio will require a different approach and you will work with the senior leadership, subject matter experts, and other stakeholders across F1 to bring those insights, learnings, and solutions to race/market.

As an established communications professional, you will have previous experience in Sport Partner Management or Communications functions and will be part of a group that act as expert consultants to the Partnership Activation team in the areas of Communications, Team brand standards and Team tone of voice.

Key Responsibilities

  • Work collaboratively with the F1 and Esports Partnership Activation Teams and the Merchandising and Licensing Team to bring communications and brand compliance guidance to the process of asset delivery and activation
  • Support the approvals process of Partner output, ensuring adherence/alignment to the Team’s brand standards

As the CRM Campaign Manager, you will support CRM retention programs that will maximise audience engagement opportunities during Games Time period and the retention of audiences within Olympic digital properties during Flame-to-Flame period. Marketing Manager – European Handball Federation

The European Handball Federation’s Business Development and Marketing Department is looking to further strengthen its team with the appointment of a marketing manager.

The successful candidate will be charged with growing, reaching and engaging with the handball community; developing and coordinating marketing strategies for the federation’s activities, programmes and national team competitions; revenue generation and overseeing the implementation of marketing contracts.

This role will require extensive cooperation and coordination with internal departments, including EHF EURO Events and Media and Communications departments, as well as with external partners and agencies. The marketing manager will also be responsible for overseeing the work of a small marketing team within the department.

The job will cover a wide range of different areas from marketing and promotion, key account management of EHF partners, merchandising, sales and the acquisition of new EHF partners. Additionally, the role will include responsibility for overseeing the implementation of marketing regulations and rights in national team competitions together with the federation’s media and marketing partner.

Given that digital is a major focus for the EHF, the marketing manager must have an excellent understanding of digital and CRM marketing, including paid media campaigning.  They will be required to work in close coordination with the CRM and data manager to create effective marketing actions across different customer journeys for various fan and stakeholder groups.

Excellent spoken and written English is a must for the position and a working knowledge of German would be an advantage.
