What will you be doing?

  • Devise brand-specific content strategies that support best-in-class digital output.

Position Summary:

The Digital Content Development Manager will work closely with NBA content stakeholders and 3rd-party content partners in the development and distribution of content that will drive the subscriber acquisition goals of NBA digital products (DTC). The role will create a cohesive consumer experience by facilitating the development and planning of a mix of internally generated content, original source creative, and community content.

Major Responsibility:

  • Develop content franchises for the NBA App and NBA.com, aligning with internal and Warner Media Discovery Sports personnel on content development process, distribution, and promotion.
  • Have a strategic voice when it comes to daily & tentpole content- understanding all content assets that are available to deliver an outstanding fan experience; consistently reviewing analytics to get to efficient distribution for the NBA App, NBA.com
  • Collaborate with Content Creation personnel on what is needed around content creation needs for the mobile app, website and connected devices to ensure delivery of best-in-class content.
  • Work with 3rd parties, contractors and freelance staff to plan and develop content franchises focused on lifestyle, fashion, analytics, influencers, etc.
  • Maintain dashboard on performance metrics for specific content series & franchises and optimize programming plans against key insights.
  • Execute priorities for content development with a focus on seeing process through from pitch to publish.
  • On-site editorial feature or content capture, when needed, around league-related events sought at improving NBA digital products
  • Work with Product & Digital Content Strategy on content reporting, testing & future product enhancements
  • Understand all content available (league, teams, affiliate leagues) to vet viable content franchises that would perform best on the respective platforms & in markets

Required Skills/Knowledge:

  • Deeply knowledgeable and passionate about all aspects of basketball, including but not limited to analytics, rules of the game, and key cultural touchpoints.

A key role in the communications team, the Communications Manager will be responsible for communicating City Football Group’s commercial, partner-focused and some corporate activities. Director Content and Production – Cleveland Browns

The Cleveland Browns are seeking a full-time Director of Content and Production to oversee and manage the creation of all content assets for the team’s television, radio, digital and social properties. They are an expert in content and channel optimization, ensuring all content is on-brand and supports marketing and sales initiatives, both short and long-term.This creative thinker is also data-driven and stays current with industry trends introducing innovation and best practices to his/her department and the organization.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities

  • Work with SVP, Marketing and Media and Director of Marketing to develop content goals in alignment with our organizational and brand goals 
  • Coordinate and directionally guide the production team; guide decision making and concept development ensuring consistency and alignment 
  • Manage and oversee department budget, while keeping equipment and studio spaces up to date with industry standards and best practices 
  • Employ data and insights to strategically maximize content consumption, fan engagement and impressions 
  • Collaborate and integrate closely with internal stakeholders to drive new business and raise the value of all media properties 
  • Develop and maintain relationships with local and national broadcast partners to ensure Browns marketing, messaging and content standards are followed 
  • Work closely with the team’s Creative Director on all creative and branding initiatives to ensure a consistent message across channels 
  • Establish workflows for requesting, creating, and editing content 
  • Create and direct professional development activities for staff and find new ways to grow and develop content team 
  • Be a key contributor amongst the senior leadership marketing team

Qualifications & Requirements

  • 8+ years of Content or Creative Director in an agency or at in-house environments; previous experience working in professional sports a plus 
  • Deep craft experience with ability to develop, produce, shoot and/or edit creative concepts that results in compelling campaigns and creative work 
  • Proven ability to direct department work, whether through external agencies, freelance vendors, or internal production resources, ensuring best-in-class product is delivered on time and within budget 
  • Ability to work and foster a sense of teamwork in a fast-paced environment 
  • Excellent communication, collaboration, and problem-solving skills 
  • Use of appropriate communication tone, manner, and channel in all circumstances 
  • Projects a positive image as well as 
  • Must be available to work nights, weekends, and holidays 
  • Uber creative, with a focus in creating unique and engaging content for all levels of consumers
