Overview /Objective

The NFL Social & Influence Marketing department is seeking a Manager of Social Content to oversee day-to-day programming and content creation on platforms such as Twitter, Instagram, TikTok, and more. The day-to-day responsibilities of this role will include managing the NFL’s “always-on” social strategies, real-time coverage of NFL games, creating new and innovative ways to engage with fans, along with strong editorial judgement, and an eye for what works best across multiple social media platforms. The day-to-day responsibilities of this position will require best-in-class creative skills along with the ability to operate efficiently in a fast-paced, non-stop environment. This candidate should have an extensive background in content creation, along with proven success leading a team in the ever-changing social media landscape.

Responsibilities

  • Create and oversee day-to-day content and programming on NFL owned social platforms (i.e. Twitter, Facebook, Instagram, etc)
  • Work alongside social programming staff to lead ideation and execution of editorial and marketing calendars
  • Utilize analytics and insights to understand what’s working, what’s not working, and be prepared to pivot at any time
  • Celebrate football at all levels
  • Constantly staying ahead of the latest trends throughout the social space
  • Identify opportunities to monetize and drive revenue through our social platforms in partnership with our sales and sponsorship teams
  • Concept big ideas to execute throughout the NFL calendar
  • Collaborate closely with other internal stakeholders to ideate and execute around tent pole events (ex. Super Bowl, Combine, Draft, Pro Bowl, etc)
  • Work closely and build relationships directly with social platform partners
  • Travel to tentpole events, games, internal conferences, etc

Preferred Qualifications

  • 4-year degree preferred
  • 3-5 years’ experience in a social media role
  • 2-3+ years’ experience using photo and video editing software (ex. Adobe Creative Suite)
  • Prior experience programming social channels for a major brand
  • Ability to work well under tight deadlines and thrive in the “always-on”, 24/7 NFL news cycle
  • Strong eye for social-friendly content, with ability to understand what will perform well

FAST Programming & Content Distribution – NFL

The NFL is looking for a Manager of FAST Programming & Content Distribution to support the NFL’s rapidly expanding video distribution business. The ideal candidate will be a knowledgeable NFL fan with meaningful experience in video encoding and delivery workflows as well as some experience in content strategy.

This role, which sits within NFL Media’s Content Strategy & Audience Development team, will oversee the content planning and operations of “NFL Channel”, a 24/7 live digital video stream, which is distributed across multiple Free Ad Supported TV (FAST) platforms as well as NFL Media-owned properties. The operation of “NFL Channel” requires an ability to collaborate with a diverse set of NFL departments, from technical operations to business development groups, as well as the ability to effectively document and communicate programming plans to FAST distribution partners. Additionally, this role will support NFL Media’s direct-to-consumer products, global video syndication, and content workflows & asset management.

Responsibilities

  • Oversee and maintain the content strategy and programming operations of NFL Channel and ensure all content, metadata tags, ad breaks, etc. is actively represented on a 24/7 live linear stream

The Kansas City Chiefs are looking to hire a Senior Director, Brand Strategy & Fan Development. Director, Club Marketing – Major League Baseball

About the job

As a Director, Club Marketing you will work with assigned Major League Baseball Club personnel and internal departments within Major League Baseball to implement and optimize the overall performance of MLB Marketing Initiatives at the local level as well as Club initiatives to grow the game of baseball through both digital and non-digital consumer touchpoints.

Job Responsibilities

  • Acts as a primary liaison between assigned Clubs, MLB Marketing personnel, and various MLB business stakeholders
  • Work day to day with assigned Clubs to build a strong and collaborate relationship that enables the League office to strategize, service and assist the Clubs in their localized Marketing efforts
  • Oversee the activation of Club specific Marketing Campaigns tied to driving ticket sales, fan growth and engagement, and brand awareness
  • Project manage Club specific initiatives in the digital landscape
  • Provide guidance on Club needs and points of view at the league level as it relates to global Marketing Initiatives
  • Optimize overall performance of specific Club sites, emails and app as it relates to increasing engagement, audience and revenue generation
  • Fulfill other project responsibilities as assigned by Marketing Executives
  • Manage a team of 5-10 website content producers
  • Provide sound feedback and suggestions for enhancing the user experience for the club.com platform to further MLB and Club Marketing priorities and goals
  • Work cross functionality to coordinate, promote and implement league level programs and initiatives with Clubs

Job Requirements And Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s Degree
  • An individual with ten (10) or more years marketing management experience, working in either sports, media, entertainment or related field is preferred
  • Project management and/or client relations experience required
  • Understanding of the Interactive Media landscape strongly preferred – e-commerce, marketing, sponsorship, subscription products, social media platforms
  • Ability to develop cordial, professional relationships with all level of Club personnel and MLB staff
  • Detail-oriented, organized and excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Positive attitude, with the ability to think outside the box in order to achieve goals
  • Ability to multitask and work under strict deadlines
  • Engaging, enthusiastic communicator who can comfortably receive and deliver feedback
  • Ability to inspire and motivate others. Delegates effectively and promotes execution through direct and indirect influencing.
  • Familiarity and interest with the game of baseball
  • Flexible schedule: available weekends and late nights throughout the year, as needed.

What You’ll Do:

  • Identify trends and developments in competitive environments and present findings
  • Perform integrated revenue/expense analysis, financial forecasting and modeling, and recommend actions through analysis, interpreting data, and making ROI or comparative analyses
  • Develop valuation models and their continuous innovation and improvement for the use and ease of interpretation by team members and executives
  • Work with data source providers and technology teams to ensure that key decision data is accurate, automated, and timely
  • Manage competing priorities & provide level-headed guidance during unexpected events
  • Assist with project management activities
  • This job will require occasional travel. 

What We’re Looking For:

  • Minimum of 3-5 years relevant experience in a Management Consulting or Financial Analyst/Associate role within top advisory firm or bank
  • Experience demonstrating problem solving and root cause analysis coupled with ability to collect relevant information, analyze, and “connect the dots” to facilitate collaboration across verticals
  • Highly analytical, detail oriented and strong business sense; proven ability to develop new ideas, creative solutions and demonstrated experience implementing such mechanisms
  • Demonstrated financial acumen and/or analytical experience including familiarity with concepts of forecasting, valuations, and/or data interpretation and analysis
  • Expertise using Excel and PowerPoint to collect and manage quantitative data for the purpose of creating meaningful reports to drive business insights
  • Comfortable with core valuation metrics and analyses (DCFs, Precedent Transactions, Public market Comparable)
  • Familiarity and fluency with company reporting documents and public filings
  • Exceptional verbal and written communication skills
  • Team player with the ability to develop relationships at various levels internally and externally, and champion our company culture
  • Ability to meet tight deadlines, prioritize workload and achieve effective results in a fast-paced, dynamic, ever-growing and often ambiguous environment; effective multi-tasking skills are vital
  • Strong work ethic with a sense of urgency to resolve issues promptly
  • Insightful, consistent, and considerate communication skills, both verbal and written
  • Comfortable managing the strategic aspects as well as the tactical details of the business
