You will lead with a digital and DTC first approach to grow our brand awareness, consumer engagement and to build long-term relationships with our community globally. To support & drive brand expansion into new immature/new markets will be a top priority.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Manage, lead, and develop the marketing team resources & functions. The team consists of three direct reports (Sponsorship Manager, Sports Marketing Manager, Senior Brand Manager) & two indirect reports (PR Manager & Social Media Specialist).
  • Support and drive market expansion projects in partnership with an internal cross-functional team.
  • Provide insights and feedback to creative team regarding specific touchpoint needs to ensure relevant content are developed for each initiative to ensure an inspirational and engaging communication towards our community.
  • Define and agree campaign objectives and KPIs per initiative including but not limited to brand awareness and positioning, traffic and revenue, new customer acquisition and retention/loyalty/frequency of purchase.
  • Keep on top of consumers and market insights, trends, and development on an ongoing basis. Consider different customer segments in marketing – always asking who we are speaking to and how. Think global, act local.
  • Work with external agencies & partners to support our brand & business needs (creative agencies, material partners, production companies etc.)
  • Manage & track overall brand marketing budget.
  • Together with VP Marketing – develop and execute overall brand marketing long term strategies, and short-term tactical plans to support our business goals.
  • Own seasonal go-to-market strategies for the brand marketing organic and bought media touchpoint and ensure its in line with the overall business strategy and our brand positioning.
  • Ensure x-functional alignment by actively partaking in the new product development (NPD) process, from idea to execution.
  • Delivery of impactful and effective brand marketing campaigns, on time and within budget.
  • Develop key cities specific plans and activations that drives brand awareness and consumer engagement.
  • In this role you will be part of the global Peak Performance Marketing & Consumer Experience Team reporting into our VP Marketing.

Head Of Event Operations – Formula 1

About The Role

At F1, we are continually driving further to deliver the same end goal; to unleash the greatest racing spectacle on the planet.

So that we can reach these elite-level standards, Formula 1 are seeking a Head of Event Operations to provide strategic oversight for all aspects of Grand Prix delivery across all circuit venues.

Main Duties and Responsibilities

As Head of Event Operations, you will be leading the team to deliver the operational plan, development, and ongoing management of F1 suppliers at Grand Prix races.

This will include input and coordination into circuit design, build & layout, venue overlay, permitting, partner activations, experience activations, promoter co-ordination, safety and security.

You will also be responsible for coordinating and communicating with relevant F1 departments to ensure a fully integrated approach to Grand Prix delivery, as well as liaising with F1 functions and race promoters to ensure of a successful Grand Prix production which is to global standards on event delivery and event fan experience management.

Permanent communication with F1 internal stakeholders will be another responsibility in this role so that, when necessary, you can adapt for specific experience and client requirements and to support commercial revenue streams across each grand prix.

About You

For this role, you must have a minimum education level of a BA/BS Degree. Having extensive experience in a related role and environment would also be essential as Head of Events.

Previous senior leadership would also be beneficial for this role, being able to serve as a proactive and decisive leader with excellent communication skills and a strategic mindset.

You must have the ability to manage activities within the functional area and make independent decisions using sound judgment.

As the Head of Events flexibility will be vital as you will often be working evenings, weekends and holidays. There will also be a lot of travelling involved within this role.

World Triathlon Championship Finals 2024 & 2025

Host Cities, with the endorsement of their respective National Federation, can now bid to host a World Triathlon Championship Finals in 2024 or 2025, the crown jewel of World Triathlon’s annual calendar. Previous hosts have included such cities as London, Budapest, Beijing, Auckland, Chicago, Gold Coast, Lausanne or Edmonton, with the next ones planned in Abu Dhabi in 2022 and Pontevedra in 2023.

The World Triathlon Championship Finals Host City will also welcome the annual World Triathlon Congress with delegates from up to 167 countries, making decisions on the future of the sport. The World Triathlon Championship Finals Host City can expect to attract an audience of millions of people from around the world. This includes international TV distribution of the live coverage, international mainstream TV and print media distribution, full coverage on Triathlonlive.tv and extensive social media presence.

Bids for the Championship Finals ’24 & ’25 have to be submitted before 30 August 2022, with the announcement of the Host Cities planned for 28 November 2022.

World Triathlon Sprint & Relay Championships 2024 & 2025

World Triathlon is also welcoming bids from Host Cities, with the endorsement of their respective National Federation, for a World Triathlon Sprint & Relay Championships in 2024 or 2025. The host of the inaugural edition of this event will be Montreal in June 2022.

The World Triathlon Sprint & Relay Championships creates an instant economic impact by bringing in a significant number of international tourists to the Host City, consisting of over 4,000 competitors, support teams, officials, family and friends. With the addition of local races, the number of competitors can exceed 8,000.

Bids for the Sprint & Relay Championships ’24 & ’25 have to be submitted before 30 August 2022, with the announcement of the Host Cities planned for 28 November 2022.

World Triathlon Multisport Championships 2025

World Triathlon is also welcoming bids for the 2025 edition of the World Triathlon Multisport Championships, a mega event that includes the World Triathlon Long Distance Championships; World Triathlon Duathlon Championships (Sprint and Standard); World Triathlon Cross Championships; World Triathlon Cross Duathlon Championships; World Triathlon Aquathlon Championships and World Triathlon Aquabike Championships.

The World Triathlon Multisport Championships are designed to provide a well organised event in all triathlon-related multisport disciplines, with a wide global reach and high-quality competitions for athletes.

Taking place over approximately 10 days, the World Triathlon Multisport Championships is more than just a sports competition for the athletes. It is also an important development opportunity from the grassroots to elite level, giving athletes from a wide range of Age-Groups the opportunity to race. The entire occasion is a visual spectacle designed to inspire and motivate, from the experienced to the newcomer. The estimated number of athletes participating at the championships is close to 4,500.

The deadline for presenting bids for the Multisport Championships ends on 30 August, with the selected city to be announced on 28 November, 2022.

2023 Season events

The World Triathlon Championship Series (WTCS) is the premier triathlon series and features the world’s best racing head-to-head in up to 10 races around the globe, including the flagship Championship Finals.

The World Triathlon Championship Series comprises Olympic Distance (1.5km swim, 40km bike and 10km run), Sprint Distance (750m swim, 20km bike and 5km run) and the new super-sprint format, and may include a Mixed Relay.

Elite triathletes now compete in these prestigious events in search of the World Triathlon Championship title. Since its launch in 2009, the profile of the World Triathlon Championship Series has grown rapidly, establishing itself as the pinnacle of Olympic and Sprint distance triathlon racing across the globe.

The hosting of Championship Series events offers cities opportunities to showcase their cities to millions of people via a live international television broadcast as well as to attract thousands of local, national and international guests and race participants. To date, annual on-site spectators for the Series events are upwards of 1 million.

The World Triathlon Cup competitions are the World Triathlon’s second-tier events, intended to provide a solid and professional base for triathletes pursuing entry to the World Triathlon Championship Series. These events are aligned with the World Triathlon Development programmes. They carry a substantial prize purse, have significant media, television and internet coverage and are also attractive for tourist destinations and major cities.

Cities hosting World Cup events can expect to attract an audience of millions of people around the world, including live internet streamings on Triathlonlive.tv and the distribution of features and interviews on all World Triathlon platforms, as well as international news distribution and international print media coverage.

The Para triathlon events open for bidding are the 2023 World Triathlon Para Series, the World Triathlon Para Cups and Continental Triathlon Para Cups.

Bids are also welcomed to host Multisport Cups in 2023. Following on from the success of the Multisport World Championships, the Multisport Cups will be held throughout the season, with events providing new opportunities for top Elite athletes to compete for prize money, as well as mass participation Age-Group races, in multisport disciplines outside of the standard and sprint-distance triathlons. To be considered to host such an event, organisers must offer two of the following events; Long Distance Triathlon (including Aquabike), Duathlon, Cross Triathlon, Cross Duathlon and Aquathlon.

For cities interested in hosting Winter events, bids are welcomed for the 2023 World Triathlon Winter Cups and Championships. Triathletes from all over the world will contest the winter sport over a 6km run, 12km mountain bike and 9.6km ski course.

Cities interested in hosting the 2023 World Championships, World Cup races and Para triathlon events in 2023 or Winter Triathlon events must submit their bid documents before 31 July, 2022. World Triathlon will review all candidatures and will announce the winning cities on 15 September 2022, after the approval of the Executive Board.

Airspeeder is an upcoming, next-generation motorsport series for electric flying vehicles. It has been described as the “Formula 1 of the skies”. The series, founded by technology and space entrepreneur, Matt Pearson will be powered by performance eVTOL manufacturer Alauda.

Alauda Aeronautics provides teams with identical craft, known as ‘Speeders’. Teams will be given the freedom to set drivers and create strategy. Races will take place in remote locations across the globe. The speeders are manned racing electric quadcopters that can fly at speeds of up to 200km/h. The races will fuse mixed reality with live telemetry to create an air sport nobody has ever seen before.

At a time of significant digital growth and expansion for both the Airspeeder sport and the Alauda Aeronautics manufacturer of flying vehicles, we’re looking for a talented, highly motivated, proactive and resourceful individual, with a deep knowledge and experience of social media platform growth to join our team in London. This role requires someone with ambition to set the mark within both sport and social media.

Job Description:

As Head of Social Media for the group you will set the social media vision and lead a growing global team of talented Social Content Specialists to successfully manage and develop the social content output for the three brands, ensuring it aligns with the overarching strategy and meets KPIs.

You will also be the main point of contact for some of our biggest clients and responsible for developing image, video, mixed reality media campaigns across multiple channels.

Reporting to the Head of Media, you will work collaboratively to consistently evolve our social content (owned and paid) business strategy.

Developing and expanding relationships with partners, including broadcasters, producers and platforms would have to be within your capability in this role.

The ideal candidate will have strong metric results across a number of social platforms for an existing sports rights holder, and a proven track record of successful campaigns devised and launched.

Having experience with known sports properties or sports agencies would put you at an advantage for this vacancy.

Candidates for the role should aim to provide inspirational and creative thought leadership on ways to reach and gain the attention of target audiences, including motorsport, drone racing, technology, aviation, extreme sports and pop culture.

Can collaborate with business leaders across the organization to identify and purposely create revenue enhancing content across ads, marketing partnerships, merchandise, and content initiatives.

About You:

  • Previous sports properties or sports agency experience.
  • Solid experience in social media strategy development and activation.
  • Deep understanding of organic, paid and earned social media principles across key social media platforms globally.
  • Data-driven, analytical mindset, demonstrated knowledge in social media metrics, reporting and analytics.
  • Used to working with and interpreting research, data and social analytics to improve insight, strategy and delivery
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • An understanding of the latest pay-per-click and social media marketing techniques used across the top social media platforms today.

The European Leagues (EL) – the Association of European Professional Football Leagues – is the voice of Professional Football Leagues on all matters of common interest and the official body representing the interest of domestic professional football competition organisers in the European stakeholder’s family. It is an association governed by Swiss law founded in 2005. The European Leagues represents 36 professional football leagues and associations of clubs from 30 countries, representing more than 1000 clubs from all over Europe.

During the past few years, the EL has been growing its membership structure as well as its institutional, political but also commercial influence in the football industry. The EL is now considered one of the leading international organisations in professional football and has the ambition to further develop the range of services it provides to its member leagues and their affiliated clubs. The new Communications and Project Manager will play an important role in this process.

Position Summary:

Based at the EL HQs in Nyon (Switzerland), the Communication and Project Manager will work and have responsibilities on projects and activities that make a measurable contribution to the execution of the EL’s new and ongoing related projects with focus on communications, relations/services to the member leagues and their clubs, and collective business/league development projects. The overall goal is to support the EL members and their clubs in their sustainable development on and off the pitch.

Position Responsibilities:

The Communication and Project Manager responsibilities will evolve as priority areas and projects are defined, however, the role will focus primarily on the following tasks:

  • Support the EL Administration team in the strategic development of its social media channels and the Club Advisory Platform (CAP);
  • Content creation and delivery for the EL communication platforms but also for EL workshops, seminars and events for member leagues and their clubs;
  • Proactively support initiatives to drive the growth and development of our current international media rights collective project with ELEVEN and OneFootball; and
  • Research and editorial work related to EL Reports and Publications.

Position Requirements:

  • Valid work permit/visa to live and work in Switzerland or being a candidate that can apply for a work visa as an EU National.
  • Bachelor’s degree in communication, marketing, business administration, or a related field.
  • Excellent editorial and writing skills in English language (fluency in English language both written and verbal is essential for this position).

Senior Partnership Sales Manager – NBA (EME)

The NBA are actively seeking a Senior Partnership Development Manager who will take a key role in the sponsorship sales process across EME at both a regional multi-market and national single market level.

The focus for the successful candidate will be on prospecting, pitching, negotiating and securing new marketing partners. The role is London based, with a hybrid working pattern, and likely to involve around three days in office each week and there will be regular European travel too.

The role would ideally suit someone from a Business Development, Partnership Sales background, ideally working in a major rightsholder / team / brand delivering forward thinking partnership deals.

Major Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement a sales strategy for the NBA Europe Game as part of the overall EME new business strategy and ownership of the new business revenue targets associated with the event.
  • Develop and implement a sales strategy for regional sales categories and ownership of the revenue targets associated with these.
  • Prospect, target and sell tailored NBA partnerships to multinational and national companies in relation to the above, utilizing data and research as well as an extensive external personal network.
  • Consult with both multinational and national companies to determine their sales and marketing objectives as well as the strategic direction of their business, markets and competitors and create integrated marketing partnerships/programmes that will meet these objectives.
  • Creatively develop new commercial opportunities and initiatives that can be successfully taken to market which will include IP, media, promotional, and event-based assets
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with external stakeholders and senior decision makers at potential partners and agencies in the region
  • Work collaboratively with other internal NBA functions, both in this region and globally, to help develop rights packages that can successfully be taken to market.
  • Work with the other members of the EME Business Development team on shaping the regional strategy and proactively contribute to sales efforts in other EME markets as required.

Required Skills/Knowledge

  • Successful track record in international sales (preferably within the sports sector)
  • Strong understanding of the sponsorship market and a network of relationships across all sectors of the sponsorship landscape
  • A track record of securing sponsorship contracts for rights holders
  • Ability to develop creative solutions which will meet the objectives of prospective marketing partners
  • Strategic thinker – able to shape, develop and execute the strategy for a diverse region
  • Strong persuasive and negotiation skills
