Overview:

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • – Oversee all reporting and analytical review of financial data.
  • – Ensure adherence to compliance and regulatory requirements including (GAAP), NFL Reporting, and all other rules, regulations and standards. Provide clear communication and recommendations on complex accounting transactions.
  • – Actively work with auditors to complete audits.
  • – Oversee development of taxable income and related filings provided to partners.
  • – Evaluate accounting and tax implications for multiple affiliated entities
  • – Assist with managing and projecting cash flows.
  • – Oversee reporting and compliance for non-profit entity.
  • – Ensure appropriate internal controls are in place and operating as intended quality assurance, proper segregation of duties and process efficiencies.
  • – Drive organization’s use of technology for financial management.
  • – Establish strategies and objectives to support long-term strategic objectives and short-term position goals.
  • – Create a team culture of development.
  • – Oversee the general ledger, fixed assets, and accounts payable activity, including reconciliations and monthly reporting.
  • – Lead the development, review and revision of annual budgets and quarterly forecasts. Includes appropriately challenging assumptions, providing insights, and making necessary judgments.

QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS:

Required:

  • – Bachelor’s Degree in Finance, Accounting or a related business field
  • – 6+ years progressive experience in an accounting or financial role
  • – 4+ years leadership/management experience

Preferred:

  • – CPA license
  • – 4+ years public accounting audit experience
  • – Project/Construction management experience/knowledge
  • – Ability to proactively and independently manage conflicting priorities and multiple tasks/projects.

Skills Required:

  • – Skills in navigating various financial applications, including evaluating developing technologies.
  • – Competency with applicable GAAP and ability to research/evaluate existing and new guidance.
  • – Ability to review complex contracts, identify accounting and finance issues, and drive resolution.

Exeter Chiefs extend Samurai partnership

Samurai Sportswear has announced that Aviva Premiership side Exeter Chiefs has extended its partnership with the Norfolk based sportswear manufacturer by signing a new long-term deal.

The new deal will see Samurai continue to supply Exeter’s players with its innovative range of playing kit and off-field leisurewear as well as kitting out the club coaches and officials.

The partnership, discount first signed in 2010 before the Chiefs were promoted to the Aviva Premiership, order is the joint longest partnership of its type in the top flight of club rugby in England, ed and in the past six years both parties have seen sustained growth and considerable success.

NFL in Talks With Apple & Google to Live Stream 2016/17 London Games

The National Football League (NFL) is in talks with Apple and Google to live stream all of the league’s games in London next season.

NFL successfully launched a free live stream of the London fixture between the Buffalo Bills and Jacksonville Jaguars earlier in this current season via Yahoo! and Apple and Google are now battling to secure the rights to live stream NFL games for the first time on their plaforms.

Things just seem to be going from bad to worse for FIFA president Sepp Blatter.

On Monday, ambulance it was announced by the governing body’s ethics committee that the 79-year-old had been banned from football for eight years due to his part in a “disloyal payment” of 2 million Swiss francs to UEFA president Michel Platini in 2011.

Before announcing he was to step down as FIFA president in May, advice just days after securing a fifth term in office at congress in Zurich, cheao sale Blatter was subject to repeated calls to leave world football immediately due to the allegations of corruption surrounding numerous officials.

World Cup winner and overall footballing legend Diego Maradona said at the Soccerex Asian Forum earlier this year that Blatter should leave the game because he was making football “poorer and more corrupt” day by day.

IPL Viewing Figures Down by 18.7%

The Indian Premier League (IPL) has suffered a setback with the news that TV ratings for the opening league games this season has dramatically declined, according to figures released on Thursday.

Television Viewer Ratings (TVR) were down 18.7 percent in the first six games compared with the same period last year, said Tam Media Research, India’s leading television research agency.

Viewing figures also dipped last year, when the event’s fourth edition began less than a week after India’s victory in the World Cup at home in Mumbai.

Since its inception in 2008, viewing patterns have showed high interest in the IPL’s opening and final weeks with a sharp decline in the middle.

The tournament this year started on April 4 and will be completed with the final in Chennai on May 27.

“I think the whole IPL business model is a bit shaky now and not as robust as it was made out to be when it first started,” Sridhar Ramanujam, the head of brand consulting firm Brand Comm, told the Cricinfo website.

IPL chief Rajiv Shukla, who had earlier predicted that the fifth season would be the most successful ever, was not available to comment on the figures.

Leading sponsors have turned their backs on the tournament, a mix of glamour, entertainment and rich purses for the world’s leading cricketers playing fast-action T20 cricket.

At least three regular advertisers – Parle, LG Electronics and Godrej – backed out from the IPL this year.

The Champions League Twenty20, an offshoot of the IPL which involves leading domestic teams from around the world, lost its title sponsor, AirTel, after just one year due to lack of interest among fans.

The 76-match IPL 2012 has nine teams playing each other on a home and away basis before a four-game play-off.this season, according to figures released on Thursday.

NBA’s Morris Twins Secure AND-1 Endorsement Deal

Twin NBA players Marcus and Markieff Morris have put pen to paper to a three-year endorsement contract with AND-1, the basketball footwear and apparel company.
