Replay: Maradona Calls for Blatter to Go

Things just seem to be going from bad to worse for FIFA president Sepp Blatter.

On Monday, ambulance it was announced by the governing body’s ethics committee that the 79-year-old had been banned from football for eight years due to his part in a “disloyal payment” of 2 million Swiss francs to UEFA president Michel Platini in 2011.

Before announcing he was to step down as FIFA president in May, advice just days after securing a fifth term in office at congress in Zurich, cheao sale Blatter was subject to repeated calls to leave world football immediately due to the allegations of corruption surrounding numerous officials.

World Cup winner and overall footballing legend Diego Maradona said at the Soccerex Asian Forum earlier this year that Blatter should leave the game because he was making football “poorer and more corrupt” day by day.
