TD Bank Acquire Naming Rights to Ottawa’s Lansdowne Park Sports Complex

TD Bank announced that they are to takeover and rename Ottawa’s Lansdowne Park when it reopens this year. 

The plans are to rename Ottawa’s new sports and entertainment complex to TD Place coinciding with the TD Bank Group. 

A formal announcement of the new naming rights deal is said to come out later this week. 

The new deal with the bank comes following the contract with Scotiabank, treatment who held the naming rights, allergist until they opted out. 

The agreement which will allow a full service TD banking centre at Lansdowne will also pay OSEG an annual fee, viagra buy which sources claim it is to be in the seven figures. 

Under the new takeover the refurbished area is set to become home to the Canadian Football League’s Ottawa Redblacks, the Ontario Hockey League’s Ottawa 67’s and the North American Soccer League franchise Ottawa Fury FC.

Tim Hortons Cafe to Serve Coffee & Hot Chocloate at Phoenix Coyotes’ Jobing.com Arena

National Hockey League franchise Phoenix Coyotes have announced that Tim Hortons Cafe & Bake Shop premium blend coffee and hot chocolate is now being served at all Coyotes games at Jobing.com Arena in a new partnership with the brand.

Tim Hortons premium blend coffee and hot chocolate are available at the Tim Hortons kiosk inside gate #2 on the west side of Jobing.com Arena. 

“We are thrilled to offer Tim Hortons great coffee to all of our fans at Coyotes games, ailment ” said Coyotes Co-Owner, President & CEO Anthony LeBlanc.

Supercross’ Jeremy McGrath Becomes iON Cameras Ambassador

iON America, the company that brought Shoot/Share Wi-Fi connectivity to point-of-view (POV) cameras, today announced that seven-time AMA Supercross Champion Jeremy McGrath has become an ambassador for the company.

Abu Dhabi Ocean Racing announced today that is partnering with the market-leading sailing clothing brand, doctor Musto. 

The partnership hopes to keep the team in peak performance as it faces some of the harshest environments on earth.

Vijay Singh Signs New Endorsement Deal

Three-time Major winner Vijay Singh has inked a multi-year endorsement with Hopkins Golf.

“It’s not often that a start-up company signs a player of Vijay’s caliber,” said Greg Hopkins, Chairman and CEO. “Vijay will not play equipment that doesn’t perform, which by itself, says it all for our Hopkins wedges.”

Singh will don the Hopkins Golf logo on his headwear, carry a Hopkins Golf staff bag and play the company’s wedges. He will be joining more than thirty-five Champions Tour players who put Hopkins wedges in play during the 2013 season. The fifty year-old tour veteran plans on spending the majority of his time on The PGA Tour with a few Champions Tour events added in since finishing second at the Frys.com Open in October.

Jeremy Lin Leaves Nike for Adidas

NBA star Jeremy Lin has signed a new endorsement deal with adidas leaving rivals Nike.

The Houston Rockets point guard had previously been signed to industry leader Nike, which released an orange and blue Lin sneaker in 2012 when Lin played for the New York Knicks. Bloomberg.com reports that his deal with Nike had lapsed and that Nike chose not to match the Germany-based adidas’s offer.

Though Lin tells Bloomberg.com that there are no immediate plans to release a new sneaker, the release states the Harvard University grad will be “featured in a variety of upcoming adidas marketing initiatives and will play a role in the development of basketball footwear and apparel.”

“I’m really excited to join the adidas family,” said Lin in the release. “They’ve changed the game with new technology and style and I can’t wait to be a part of it.”

Lin, who is the first Taiwanese-American or Chinese-American player to play in the NBA, was the feel-good story of the sports world in 2012, emerging from the end of the Knicks bench to lead the struggling team to a seven game winning streak. “Linsanity” swept the globe, leading to cover stories in Time magazine and Sports Illustrated.

“Jeremy’s relentless drive, passion for the game and background of leading winning teams throughout his career makes him a perfect fit for the Adidas brand,” said Chris Grancio, adidas head of global basketball sports marketing.

Lin signed with the Rockets as a free agent before the 2012-2013 season for a reported $25 million over three years. Lin is currently averaging 14.1 points and 4.2 assists through 25 games.

Lin was the star attraction of the Rockets “Global Games” preseason exhibition against the Indiana Pacers at the Mall of Asia Arena in Pasay City last October, contributing 14 points, six rebounds and five assists in a 116-96 rout.

Other NBA stars that are inked with adidas include Lin’s teammate Dwight Howard, plus Derrick Rose of the Chicago Bulls, John Wall of the Washington Wizards and Damian Lillard of the Portland Trail Blazers.

John Greene most recent book ‘The Fault in Our Stars’ was named Time Magazine’s best novel of 2012. 

John who is a fan of English football has great admiration for what has been achieved at AFC Wimbledon.

Virgin Trains Announce Partnership with Great Events

Virgin Trains and Nova International, view the UK’s biggest mass sport organiser announced their new three-year partnership which is to make Virgin Trains the official train operator of their events. 

The partnership will commence on the 11th January 2014 with the Great Winter Run. Some of the other events include Britain’s biggest open water swimming event with 10, order 000 participants in June and the Bupa Great Manchester Run televised by the BBC.

BMW Germany announces that it has become the lead sponsors of the FIL World Cup which will see the automotive group become extensively involved over the coming years. 

BMW will be present across the sport with a number of roles including, mind Official Main Sponsor of the FIL World Cup, Official Partner of the FIL World Championships and European Championship.
