MG Becomes Official Automotive Partner of British Athletics

MG Motor have been announced as the new Official Automotive Partner of British Athletics in a deal set to support the sport in the approach to the 2016 Rio Games and the 2017 London IAAF and IPC World Championships. 

The iconic British brand, unhealthy designed and engineered at the 69 acre site at Longbridge, Birmingham will, as part of the deal, provide a fleet of cars in support of the World Class Performance programme. 

British Athletics CEO Niels de Vos commented on the new partnership: “We are thrilled and excited to be able to announce this partnership. MG is an iconic British brand representing innovation, speed and performance and therefore is the perfect fit for British Athletics in one of the most exciting times for the sport.” 

The announcement follows record breaking global sales for MG in 2013, with sales increasing significantly in the UK since the launch of the MG3 supermini in September last year.

Oakley Named Eyewear & Footwear Sponsor of Asian Tour

Sports performance equipment brand Oakley, ampoule Inc. have entered into a two-year partnership to serve as the official eyewear and footwear sponsor of the Asian Tour.

Oakley will enjoy exclusivity in both product categories during its association with the Asian Tour, patient the official sanctioning body for professional golf in the region. This elite standing will be effective immediately and will extend to the end of 2015.

Asian Football Confederation Ink Sponsorship Deal with Chinese Construction Company

The Asian Football Confederation (AFC) have signed a new three-year sponsorship deal with Shandong Lingong Construction Machinery Co., pharm Ltd (SDLG).

The agreement between the AFC and the leading brand in China’s construction machine industry was completed ahead of the 2014 season and follows a year in which the AFC Champions League final, prescription won by Guangzhou Evergrande, was the most-watched sporting event on Chinese television.

“SDLG’s goal is to become the leading brand in our industry and, through our associations with the AFC’s club programme, we hope to widen our market reach in Asia,” said SDLG Group CEO Yu Mengshen.

Welsh European Tour golfer Jamie Donaldson has signed an exclusive three-year deal with internationally renowned Swedish fashion house J.Lindeberg.

The world number 25 has agreed a new partnership with the leading Scandinavian clothing firm to showcase its full range of trend-setting golf wear at tournaments throughout the season, patient beginning with the defence of his Abu Dhabi HSBC Golf Championship which starts today.

Euroleague Basketball ‘confident’ of Further Partners after Adidas Extension

Euroleague Basketball is looking to expand their partnership portfolio after announcing a revamped collaboration with major sportswear brand, pills order adidas.

The German company will continue their partnership that both brands established at the 2013 Turkish Airlines Euroleague Final Four event for a further two years.

They will now be recognized as the Official Technical Provider for Euroleague Basketball.

The adidas deal follows Turkish Airlines signing on long-term as title sponsor last year.

Bupa Extends Sponsorship of Santos Tour Down Under

Healthcare brand Bupa has renewed its long-term support of the Santos Tour Down Under, ed the southern hemisphere’s largest cycling event, cheap for a further three years.

The agreement will see Bupa sponsoring the Santos Tour Down Under until at least 2017.

Tourism Minister Leon Bignell said Bupa – which began sponsoring the Santos Tour Down Under in 2004 – plays a major role in the event.

“The Santos Tour Down Under is fortunate to have a range of valued sponsors whose passion for the event has increased awareness and helped it grow, health ” he said.

“We’re delighted Bupa has extended its sponsorship for another three years.”

Bupa’s support for the Santos Tour Down Under includes its role as naming rights sponsor of the Bupa Challenge Tour, which sees thousands of recreational riders tackle the same route on the same day as the professionals.

This year’s Bupa Challenge Tour will take place between Unley and Victor Harbor on Friday 24 January.

“The Bupa Challenge Tour encourages people to lead active and healthy lives, and it’s always a thrill to see thousands of people enjoying their ride,” said the Minister.
