Subaru Australia Named Official Vehicle Sponsor of Santos Tour Down Under

Subaru Australia, ed a subsidiary of Japanese car manufacturer Subaru, drugs has become the new vehicle sponsor of the Santos Tour Down Under.

Subaru Australia has entered into a three-year agreement commencing next year, and will supply vehicles for use during the event. It will also become naming rights sponsor of the Subaru King of the Mountain.

Tourism Minister Leon Bignell said Subaru Australia has a strong commitment to cycling in Australia.

“The new partnership will help to make the Santos Tour Down Under an even bigger event, and will also contribute to the further development of cycling in Australia,” he said.

“As a Tier One car brand in Australia, Subaru has great distribution channels and direct access to many fans of its brand, which will help to promote the Santos Tour Down to a wide audience.”

Nick Senior, Managing Director, Subaru Australia said they were excited to be a part of the Santos Tour Down Under.

“We are delighted to be a partner of the event and are looking forward to growing together,” said Mr Senior.

“The Santos Tour Down Under offers Subaru the opportunity to expand its involvement in cycling in Australia whilst offering a platform for international promotion through the television broadcast.

“Subaru Australia is synonymous with cycling in Australia through its alliances with Cycling Australia and the Amy Gillett Foundation, and sponsorship of the Santos Tour Down Under further strengthens these ties.

“From the elite competitive grades to community-based cycling, Subaru uses its relationships to promote road safety among two and four-wheel audiences alike.”

Subaru Australia’s involvement in Australian cycling includes the Subaru National Road Series, the TV program Subaru World of Cycling on SBS, and sponsorship of the 2014 Subaru Australian Mountain Bike Season, Subaru NSWIS Development Team and the Subaru-Albion NRS Development Team.

FC Halifax Town Signs Adidas Kit Deal

FC Halifax Town of the English Conference Premier has signed a deal with German sports apparel manufacturer adidas who will become the Club’s official technical kit supply partner for next season starting from 1st July 2014.

The partnership means adidas will provide a full range of kit next season for the Shaymen, from community and youth through to first-team level, covering playing kit, training kit  match day kit. Also, they will be supplying replica kit, associated sportswear and leisurewear items carrying the FC Halifax Town branding.
The agreement sees Town and adidas working together for the first time in the club’s history.
“We’re delighted to be working with adidas, one of the biggest names in sport,” said Town’s Chairman David Bosomworth.
“They have a proven track record in producing quality sportswear and having spoken to Neil and other staff, they’re looking forward to wearing next season’s new kit. We have agreed a one year deal with other options, so we will see how the relationship works for us. This will complement a new series of retail initiatives soon to be announced”
“We’ll be confirming the pre-order and launch dates soon for both replica kits and the new training wear package.”

 

Sheffield United Reveals New Back of Shirt Sponsor

English League One team Sheffield United have announced Sheffield-based DBL Logistics as their new sponsor.

The organisation has agreed a two year deal to become the back-of-shirt sponsors of the Blades new adidas made home and away kits.

The partnership was confirmed at DBL’s new distribution and warehousing facility at Tinsley Park Road, Tinsley Park, when Bramall Lane legend Tony Currie and the Club’s Head of Commercial Paul Reeves met with the DBL founder Bert Clarkson and its management team of Dave Clarkson and Earl Robinson – all passionate Blades fans.

It comes shortly after the Club announced adidas as United’s official kit supplier in a four year deal.

DBL Logistics Managing Director Dave Clarkson said: “This is a very proud day for me and my family to be associated with the Blades in such a significant way. The sponsorship will further enhance the profile of our business and contribute to our planned expansion.”

United’s Paul Reeves said: “This is another commercial boost for the Club following on so quickly from the news that adidas are our new official kit supplier.

“DBL is an emerging force in the logistics sector and we are delighted to establish a long-term relationship with their team,” added Paul.

Eugenie Bouchard Signs Coca-Cola Endorsement Deal

Rising Canadian tennis star Eugenie Bouchard has signed a three-year sponsorship deal with Coca-Cola Canada.

Led by two of Coca-Cola’s most recognizable brands, Coke and Diet Coke, the company will leverage Bouchard’s growing profile as one of the world’s most prominent rising young athletes – currently ranked 12th in the world.

Coca-Cola Canada is committed to encouraging active, healthy living and adds Bouchard to an impressive list of amateur and professional athletes that represent its brands globally.

As part of the three-year agreement, Bouchard will be integrated into key marketing efforts for the brands – including advertising, retail activation, experiential events and more.

Bouchard will compete in Wimbledon 2014 which runs June 23, 2014 through July 6, 2014.

WTS Becomes Exeter City’s New Shorts Sponsor

English League Two club Exeter City has announced WTS.co.uk as its newest major club partner, with WTS becoming both the main stand sponsor at St James Park, as well as being the new short sponsor for the League and Cup fixtures in this season.

Working out of their head offices in Exeter, WTS.co.uk has offices in London and Scotland and has in recent times been heavily involved in the London 2012 Olympic Games, including not just driver supply but accredited training as well.

Tennis Star Garbine Muguruza Signs Mazda Endorsement

Spanish tennis star Garbine Muguruza has signed an endorsement deal with Mazda Spain.

Muguruza, viagra a 20-year-old rising star from Spain, is having a career year, reaching her first Grand Slam quarterfinal at Roland Garros, losing to the eventual Champion, Maria Sharapova. Muguruza won her first WTA event at Hobart in January and is going into Wimbledon with a career-high world ranking of No. 27.

“Having brands that want to work with you is one of the best perks of being successful on the tennis court. I am very grateful to Mazda for becoming my first official partner off the tennis court and hope to be a part of the Mazda family for many years to come,” said Muguruza.

Muguruza’s partnership with Mazda is the third for IMG Tennis in the last month. Earlier in June, the division signed a partnership deal with Gerble for Novak Djokovic and Avon for Maria Sharapova.

Bianchi to Remain Team Belkin Partner if New Title Sponsor Found

Following Belkin’s decision to exit Pro Cycling as the title sponsor of the Belkin Pro Cycling Team, bicycle manufacturer Bianchi has revealed its intention to continue to back the team.

The decision comes after consumer electronics company Belkin had announced last week that it would not extend its current sponsorship with the cycling team beyond the 2014 season.

The partnership began with last year’s Tour de France, with the American firm replacing Rabobank following its withdrawal at the end of 2012.

Following those developments the team revealed it will look to crowdfunding methods to secure a new title sponsor.

In a statement Bianchi said: “Bianchi intends to stay with the Team if a new sponsor can be secured and is cooperating to help make the future possible.

“The Team has worked very hard to prepare and Bianchi looks forward to a successful Tour de France and the remaining 2014 race calendar.”

Barnsley Extends CK Beckett Partnership

English League One team Barnsley FC have renewed their commercial partnership with industrial recycling company CK Beckett.

The Barnsley-based company has signed a home and away shirt deal which gets underway at the start of next season and runs until the end of the 2016/17 season.
In addition CK Beckett will renew its sponsorship of the South Stand and will become the new sponsors of the Family Area in the East Stand.

As part of the deal, CK Beckett and the Reds will deliver 150 complimentary tickets to schoolchildren across Barnsley every week.

This initiative will guarantee around 3500 children of various ages the chance to see Barnsley in action during the course of the season. Having initially sponsored the club’s shorts for the 2008 FA Cup semi final, CK Beckett has gone on to forge a strong relationship with Barnsley Football Club.

Nike Inks Long-Term Deal with World Cup Favourites Holland

American sports apparel giant Nike has signed a sponsorship deal with the Dutch football association KNVB for next 12 years.

As part of the deal, Nike will not only sponsor the national team but also the youth teams and the women’s team too. In addition the youth leagues and street football in events like KNVB football days will play with Nike apparel.

Tankless Water Heaters to Sponsor BK Racing at Sonoma Raceway

BK Racing announced today a partnership with Rinnai, manufacturer of North America’s #1 brand of Tankless Water Heaters for the 2014 NASCAR season with the first race being the upcoming NASCAR Sprint Cup Series race at Sonoma Raceway on June 22.
