London Irish Ink New Marketing Deal with Setanta Sports

English rugby club London Irish have signed a new marketing partnership with Irish broadcaster Setanta Sports.

The partnership will focus on Setanta’s use of London Irish players in the promotion of their coverage of the Aviva Premiership in Ireland.

Setanta will use key London Irish players in weekly syndicated media content across a number of Irish media platforms.

The deal, discount which was launched yesterday in Dublin, will see the Exiles benefit from promotion in Ireland and the broadcaster will enjoy a number of marketing rights which they will use to drive the Irish audience for Aviva Premiership Rugby.

Jim O’Toole, Commercial Director of the Club commented: “London Irish have season ticket holders based in 14 of the 32 counties in Ireland and we enjoy a strong base of support throughout Ireland. This partnership will help reinforce our marketing and communications to existing and new audiences as we continue to re-engage with our Irish roots.”

Motors Commits to New Sponsorship Term with Oxford United

Oxford United FC have renewed their partnership with Motors.co.uk following a successful five-month trial.

The partnership has seen Motors.co.uk provide huge support to the League Two  club, pill including the sponsorship of selected boys’ and girls’ youth teams, herbal and widespread advertising including specially designed perimeter boards at the home of the Oxford United Women’s team in Abingdon. In addition,Motors.co.uk and OUFC have developed a coaching programme aimed at local schools, delivering around 360 hours of coaching to promote sports and fitness to children in 20 different schools.

USA Track & Field Inks SUBWAY Restaurants Partnership

USA Track & Field have agreed partnerships with local SUBWAY restaurants in parts of North Carolina, allergy South Carolina and Georgia, encouraging kids to get active and stay healthy through the SUBWAY “Fit for Life Challenge” programs.

Aimed at elementary and middle-school students, the Fit For Life Challenge promotes healthy habits during a two-week challenge taking place in October, dubbed “Fit-tober.” 

“Partnering with SUBWAY’s regional restaurants on the Fit For Life Challenge is another way USATF is embracing youth fitness and health,” USATF CEO Max Siegel said. “It is a great example of how, as a federation, we can bring programs like RunJumpThrow and the Fit for Life Challenge together to create even greater outreach opportunity for all of our partners.”

Tottenham Hotspur Renew MBNA Credit Card Partnership

Current Premier League leaders Tottenham Hotspur have extended their partnership with MBNA which will see the credit card issuer remain the Club’s official UK Credit Card Partner until the end of the 2018/19 season.

MBNA’s relationship with Tottenham Hotspur has been in place since November 1998.

Fran Jones, Tottenham Hotspur’s Head of Partner Services, said: “We are delighted to be extending our association with MBNA for a further five seasons. This is testament to the great relationship that we have built over the past 16 years.”

Air Asia to Sponsor Kings XI Punjab

Airline Air Asia has agreed to sponsor Indian Premier League (IPL) side Kings XI Punjab.

“Showing our commitment to Chandigarh, apoplectic we are going to be sponsoring Kings XI Punjab,” AirAsia India, CEO, Mittu Chandilya told reporters in Chandigarh on Tuesday.

Kings XI Punjab, which made it to the final in last IPL, is co-owned by Bollywood actress Preity Zinta.

According to the shareholding pattern, actress Preity Zinta and industrialist Ness Wadia have 23 per cent stake each while industrialist Mohit Burman has 46 per cent, Karan Paul chairman of Apeejay-Surrendra Group and Delhi based company Root Investment have four per cent each.

 

Dallas Cowboys Sign Commercial Deals with Hublot & Columbia Sportswear

National Football League (NFL) franchise Dallas Cowboys have announced two new commercial deals in time for the new season.

The deals with Hublot and Columbia Sportswear will see the watch maker creating three luxury timepieces while Columbia Sportswear will feature co-branded sportswear, capsule outerwear and accessories.

“It’s with great pride that we’re announcing a very unique relationship with Hublot, buy ” siad owner Jerry Jones said. “This hasn’t been done in the NFL – it’s been wanted to be done, ambulance but it hasn’t been done.”

The partnership has seen Hublot come together with the Cowboys, with input from the Jones family, to create three luxury timepieces that reflect the Cowboys’ status in American sports. Each timepiece will utilize the team’s famous silver and blue, as well as the iconic star at five o’clock – for five Super Bowl wins.

“Hublot has a great affinity for its association with sports,” Jones said. “That’s what we’re here tonight to recognize, is this relationship and how we can take this visibility and this relationship, joined with Hublot – a great brand – which is what the Dallas Cowboys ought to be doing.”

“At Hublot, the specific philosophy is always to be either unique, either the first or different in everything that we do,” Guadalupe said. “The first thing is our message – Hublot represents the art of fusion in watch-making. This is something different from the other brands from the Swiss watch industry.”

Cowboys Tie Up Columbia Deal

The Cowboys, considered the most valubale NFL franchise by Forbes, also added a deal Columbia Sportswear.

“This first-of-its-kind partnership between the premier NFL franchise and a global leader in outdoor apparel is a real win for consumers,” said Joe Boyle, vice president of apparel merchandising at Columbia. “The Dallas Cowboys are a world class organization with one of the strongest fan bases of any NFL team. This collaboration will allow those fans to wear their favorite outdoor apparel brand while supporting their favorite team.”

The Columbia-Dallas agreement extends through early 2018. The Dallas Cowboys will sell co-branded product through wholesale channels including official NFL retail stores. The initial launch of select styles will be available in the spring of 2015, expanding to a more robust assortment of sportswear, outerwear and accessories by fall 2015.

Imperial Joins Toronto 2015 as Sponsor

Toronto 2015 Pan Am / Parapan Am Games have appointed Imperial as its Official Fuel and Convenience Store Supplier. 

The TORONTO 2015 Games marks the first time Imperial has directly sponsored an international multi-sport Games in Canada. Imperial has had a longstanding association with amateur hockey development in Canada, including supporting the debut of women’s hockey at the Nagano 1998 Olympic Winter Games.

In 2001, the company also sponsored the International Association of Athletics Federations (IAAF) World Championships in Edmonton. With one of the largest fuel and retail networks in Canada — and approximately 1,750 Esso-branded service stations across the country — the company will help fuel the TORONTO 2015 Games’ fleet of Chevrolet vehicles, as well as buses and generators.

Glenfarclas Extends Support of Cross Country Steeplechases at Cheltenham Racecourse

Cheltenham Racecourse have announced that Glenfarclas has renewed its association with Cross Country racing at the Home of Jump Racing for a further three years.

Glenfarclas, the family-owned producer of award-winning Single Highland Malt Scotch Whisky, first backed the three Cross Country Steeplechases at Cheltenham in the 2008/2009 season. The trio of contests take place at The Open, The International and The Festival. During the 2014/15 season, they will happen on November 14 (Friday), December 12 (Friday) and March 11 (Wednesday).

In addition, the Glenfarclas Cross Country Handicap Chase at The Festival will see its prize fund increased to £60,000 (up from £50,000 last season).

The three Glenfarclas Cross Country Steeplechases are unique races, not duplicated anywhere else in the UK with a twisting and turning course of banks, ditches and rails. All three races take place over three miles and seven furlongs, with the contest at The Open a conditions event and the other two races run as handicaps. Cross Country racing was introduced to Cheltenham in 1995 with the advent of Sunday racing.

Balthazar King, trained by Philip Hobbs, has been one of the stars of Cross County racing during Glenfarclas’ sponsorship, taking the race at The Festival in both 2012 and 2014 as well as the contest at The Open in 2013 while Garde Champetre won five times over the course between 2008 and 2011.

John Grant, Chairman of Glenfarclas, said: “We are delighted to renew our contract to sponsor the three Cross Country races at Cheltenham.

“We have been sponsoring these races now for six years and the results have been very gratifying.

Team Worldwide Renews USA Luge Sponsorship

Team Worldwide has extended its USA Luge sponsorship contract through 2018.

In making the announcement Tuesday, therapy the global forwarder will continue its role as the official cargo carrier for the USA Luge team for the next four years of competition and to PyeongChang, unhealthy South Korea, discount which has been elected host city of the XXIII Winter Games.

Popeyes Announced as Title Sponsor of Bahamas Bowl

Popeyes Louisiana Kitchen today announced its title sponsorship of one of college football’s newest bowl games, pills the Bahamas Bowl.

The Popeyes Bahamas Bowl will be played December 24, capsule 2014 in Nassau, cough Bahamas at noon EST inside Thomas A. Robinson National Stadium. The game will feature teams from Conference USA and the Mid-American Conference, and will be televised live on ESPN.
