Widnes Vikings Seal Four New Sponsorship Deals

English Rugby League team, Widnes Vikings have ramped up their commecial activity with four new sponsorship deals. 

The Vikings have partnered with Stobart, Ultimate sports nutrition (USN),  Maltacourt and Magners Cider.

Stobart will continue as the club’s Official Principal Partner for the 2013 Super League XVIII season. 

This will be the 6th year the Trucking giant has lent its considerable support to the Vikings, having first joined forces with the club ahead of the 2008 campaign, soon after the arrival of Steve O’Connor as Chairman.

Delighted to extend the clubs relationship with the UK leader in transport and distribution, Vikings CEO James Rule commented; “The Stobart brand is internationally recognised and we display it on our playing jerseys and throughout the club with a tremendous pride. Their support is integral to the continued growth of our club both on and off the field and we look forward to working with them again in 2013.”

USN will once again be working closely with the club’s Strength and Conditioning coach Clive Brewer to ensure the Vikings players reach the ultimate in fitness levels and at the same time enjoy the benefits of a healthy lifestyle.

Rule also expressed his delighted, commenting; “We are really pleased that USN has decided to partner up with us again for 2013. 

“Having already built a high profile in Rugby Union, they were looking to get involved in Rugby League and joined forces with the Vikings for the 2012 campaign and both parties are extremely happy with how the first 12 months evolved.

The Maltacourt name will continue to appear on the reverse of the 2013 home shirt and will also be the primary sponsor on next season’s alternate playing jersey. 

Further to a continued presence on the all-new playing and replica kit, Maltacourt branding will continue to feature prominently within The Stobart Stadium. The partnership will also support a number of community-specific initiatives and projects with the clubs Valhalla Foundation.

Rule, added; “The Maltacourt partnership was a huge part of the Widnes Vikings’ story last year. Their investment allowed cutting edge developments to be put in place and a significant advancement in the technical capabilities of our Performance Department.

The Magners deal will feature the logo on the sleeve of the all-new 2013 home shirt.

Magners National Account Manager, Colin Wiles said about the new sponsorship agreement with Widnes Vikings; “I am delighted to have the opportunity to be part of such an exciting, successful and progressive club.
