Werder Bremen secures Asian gaming partner

July 5, 2017

Bundesliga football club Werder Bremen have secured a two-year partnership with Asian online gaming company Heji18, starting from the 2017/18 season.

According to German sports platform Sponsor.de, the partnership will earn Werder Bremen around €800,000 (£702,000) per season.

Heji18 will benefit from in-stadium advertising exposure as part of the agreement.

“Heji18 is one of the leading online gaming providers in the Asian market and is keen to increase its popularity level through its commitment to Werder Bremen,” said Klaus Filbry, chief executive of Werder Bremen.

“The Bundesliga and Werder Bremen have a very large presence, especially in China. The partnership with Heji18.com is thus not only a further strong addition to our sponsorship pyramid but also an important step in the internationalisation process for Werder Bremen.”

“We are honoured to be able to enter this partnership with Werder Bremen,” added Keane Wong, a representative of Heji18.“The German Bundesliga is one of the three major European football leagues with a strong influence in Asia. Thus it is the appropriate marketing platform to promote our brand.
