Unit Named Official Lifestyle Partner of Australian Supercross Championships

October 8, 2012

International apparel brand Unit has become the Official Lifestyle Partner of the Terex Australian Supercross Championships.

Despite its explosive success, Unit founders Paul and Ian Everest have stayed true to their commitment to supporting the core community of riders.

As part of its partnership, Unit will design and produce Championship merchandise and its own best-selling range for fans to purchase at each round.

Unit will also become the Official Holeshot Partner, awarding Pro Open and Pro Lites riders who holeshot their Main Event finals a Unit Tendence Black Widow Watch.

Paul Everest said Unit shared the vision of Championship promoter International Entertainment Group (IEG) to take the sport to a new standard of professionalism and competition.

“Unit is very proud to be a part of this brand new Supercross series,” said Everest.

“It is arguably the most exciting spectator sport to watch in the world. This country produces some of the best riders, so it is fitting that we now have a series run by a professional outfit doing it for the right reasons.”

IEG Commercial Manager Travis Greenwood said Unit’s support of the Championship would provide a significant boost of exposure to an action sports-oriented audience.

“It’s fantastic to have an international brand like Unit throwing their support behind the Championship in its founding year,” said Greenwood.

“Unit has a bold, progressive way of thinking and is a market leader that reaches the exact demographic that we wish to attract to Supercross.

“We’re certain that fans will snap up the Championship merchandise range and the riders will definitely be giving it their all to pull the holeshot and score one of Unit’s amazing Tendence Black Widow watches.” Greenwood concluded.

The opening round of the Erex Australian Supercross Championship takes place this Saturday the 13th of October in Dubbo, New South Wales.
