Twickenham: “Digital Innovations Will Gives Us Fantastic Insights”

April 9, 2019

Twickenham Stadium, the Home of England Rugby, is the largest dedicated rugby union venue in the world, seating an impressive 82,000 spectators.

iSportconnect asked Steve Furze, Senior Ticketing Manager of Twickenham Stadium, for his insights on a business undergoing big changes with digital innovation.

One of the subjects he tackles in the fascinating interview below is the problem of ticket touting. The onward sale of tickets in the UK is not illegal in rugby, tennis and cricket, as it is in football or for the Olympics.

Located in suburban London, it’s a versatile venue, hosting major music events (from Lady Gaga to the Rolling Stones) when there’s no rugby on the pitch.

In some cases, promoters leasing the stadium tap into the expertise of Steve’s 14-strong Twickenham ticketing team to deliver their events.

iSportconnect will hold its 2019 CRM & Ticketing Masterclass in London on May 22. For more information, please contact Chloe at info@isportconnect.com.
