Tour de France’s Team Radioshack Announce Renewals

July 5, 2011

Manager of Team Radioshack of the Tour de France Johan Bruyneel confirmed that the team had signed sponsorship renewals with Radioshack, Nissan and Trek on the eve of the competition.
Bruyneel said in a personal blog: “We continue for two years with our current partners.”
The renewals are believed to be worth a combined sum of around Ä12m (US$17.36m) per year and will come as proof to some that the team is more than just an extension of the Lance Armstrong ‘brand’.
Launched at the end of the 2009 Tour de France, Team Radioshack was initially formed as a vehicle through which Armstrong was aiming to win his eighth edition of the race.
