Time Warner Cable Sponsors US Open

Time Warner Cable has agreed a multi-year sponsorship for the US Open, health  the United States Tennis Association (USTA) has announced.

Through the partnership, discount Time Warner Cable will serve as an Official Sponsor of the US Open Tennis Championships in New York City across its core products and services, price including digital cable, high speed internet, home phone, and IntelligentHome.

“We are very pleased to be partnering with a leader such as Time Warner Cable. We fully expect that their innovative approach to sponsorship activation and best in class services will bring additional enhancements to US Open fans,” said Lew Sherr, Chief Revenue Officer at the USTA.

“Our partnership with USTA aligns with our Enjoy Sports Better brand experience, giving customers even more opportunities to show their passion as sports fans,” said Jeffrey A. Hirsch, EVP, Chief Marketing Officer, Residential Services of Time Warner Cable. “We couldn’t be happier to bring them closer to the excitement and action of every serve, ace and winner of the US Open.”

The partnership will encompass promotional efforts including advertising across select US Open platforms and properties as well as the “Time Warner Cable Experience”, an on-site activation space, at the USTA Billie Jean King National Tennis Center during the tournament. 

To kick-off the partnership in the inaugural year, Time Warner Cable will be the exclusive sponsor of US Open FanVision, and will feature a 6 court FanVision video wall in the “Time Warner Cable Experience” as well as providing the first 500 Time Warner Cable customers daily free access to FanVision.

Time Warner Cable will also have a strong presence with on and off the court signage, including prominent branding on the umpires chairs, in Arthur Ashe and Louis Armstrong stadiums.
