The Sponsorship Awards – Deadline Approaching for Entries

The Sponsorship Awards are celebrating 20 years in the sponsorship business this year and are gearing up to the final deadline for entries to all categories on January 22nd – including the special category for this year, Best Sponsorship Of The Last Two Decades. 

Winning and shortlisted campaigns to the Awards are held up as benchmarks of excellence in effectiveness, synergy, innovation and creativity. If you have worked on a campaign recently which has done the job it set out to and exceeded expectations, then now is the time to get that work recognised by your peers. Judges want to see brilliant planning and execution delivering brilliant benefits. Entries are welcomed from sponsors, agencies and rights holders and media owners.

The Awards celebrate not only the excellent campaigns emanating from the industry but also the people behind the campaigns and we are therefore seeking nominations for Sponsorship Personality of the Year and for The Barrie Gill Award For Most Promising Young Sponsorship Executive (deadline for this category is the 15th of February and is free to enter). The Best Sponsorship Of The Last Two Decades is a free to enter and by nomination category – and the nomination does not need to come from the client or consultancy directly involved. A shortlist of the nominations will be drawn up by our panel of judges and then the industry asked to vote. Winners of the Sponsorship of the Year Trophy over the last 20 years have included Tennent’s, Sainsbury’s, Tesco, British Gas, Evian, Sky, O2, among others.
