Stadia and Arena targets worldwide attendance

February 7, 2012

Stadia and Arena, allergy Europe’s most prestigious and influential event for sports and entertainment venue operators, will be tackling the biggest issues facing the industry, as well as providing unrivalled professional networking opportunities. (Stadia & Arena, Bordeaux – June 13 to 15, 2012 www.sam.org.uk).

The three-day conference and exhibition takes place at the Congress Centre in Bordeaux, France – a country selected because of its major investment programme in venues nationwide.

As well as the work in the Stadium industry – much of it in preparation for UEFA 2016 – France  has countless arena projects under design, planning, construction and refurbishment. Representatives from these projects will be invited and encouraged to attend Stadia & Arena so that the French and other European markets can learn, share and buy products and services together.

The gala dinner is being hosted by Thorn, a global provider of both indoor and outdoor lighting and control systems, at the Chateau du Haillan, headquarters of FC de Girondins de Bordeaux – a unique networking opportunity among the world’s leading professionals and suppliers, combined with the prestige and heritage of France.

The European Association of Stadium and Safety Managers (ESSMA) and the International Association of Venue Managers, Europe (IAVM) are again fully supporting the conference and exhibition, and Event Director Alan Levett is planning to increase delegate numbers – which last year attracted senior professionals from 26 different countries across all five continents.

“Demand from exhibitors and delegates is growing so we would advise everyone to book now and get the dates in their diary. This industry will continue to thrive and we must always be seen to be at the forefront of innovations for owners, operators and visitors,” Alan Levett says.

Delegates should book and organise accommodation through Carole Beckhamn (carole@aldlrtd.co.uk); exhibitors should contact Alan Levett (alan@aladltd.co.uk) or Paul Thornhill (paul@aladltd.co.uk); or simple call on +44 (0)1732 459683.
