Sponsors Leverage Lin’s Asia Visit

Jeremy Lin’s four-day visit to Taiwan has been heavily leveraged by the player’s sponsors Adidas, Nike and Volvo.

Adidas had specially printed Houston Rockets T-shirts featuring Lin’s name on sale in Taipei and reports say that stock sold out within hours.

Nike leveraged the visit by hosting an outdoor basketball camp and used it to showcase a new shoe that Lin would be endorsing.

Volvo leveraged its sponsorship during a press conference where Lin spoke of his rapid rise to fame in the NBA. The president of Volvo for Taiwan was present and told how the car company was trying to appeal to younger people in China through its Lin endorsement.
