Overview:

An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced and highly motivated Social Media Manager to join our Football Club. Reporting to our Communications Director you will lead on social media strategy, ensuring that it is aligned to the Club communications strategy and delivers effective campaigns on behalf of our supporters and partners.

You will develop, enhance and maximise our owned channel strategy and ensure campaigns are captivating and effective. You will ensure trending topics and new initiatives are monitored and managed positively and efficiently and develop a system to report this to the wider business. You will be able to analyse data to make recommendations to improve strategic decision making and implementation and maximise our current social strategy.

The successful candidate will contribute to the weekly editorial process, ensuring a collaborative approach across all key stakeholders, provide advice on all social media spend and activate paid for initiatives across relative platforms. You will work side by side with the editorial team to develop a long term strategy around content on both matchday and non-matchday.

A demonstrable understanding to share insights and social understanding of trends and behaviours for our audience is essential, as is an effective level of reporting.

You will be an exceptional communicator with proven community management and social strategy experience. You will have an in depth understanding of local markets, consumers, economic environment and commercial needs.
