July 3, 2015
Soccerex are today delighted to launch the first edition of the conference programme for the Soccerex Global Convention 2015, 7-9 September, taking place at the Manchester Central Convention Complex.
This year’s programme is packed full of high-level industry leading content with speaker appearances from some of the game’s most senior figures.
The agenda will focus on the five core topics of governance, football finance and the transfer market, maximising fan experience and engagement, rights holder commercial activity and player performance, with each topic supported by a series of workshop presentations and in-depth panel sessions.
In light of last year’s event feedback, a number of changes have been implemented for this year’s convention with the conference programme taking place over four concentrated content areas aimed at improving the event’s networking opportunities and overall conference structure.
The Studio, this year moved closer to the exhibition to create a greater networking focus, will feature high level discussions on key topics affecting global football.
Speakers already confirmed for the Studio include: La Liga President, Javier Tebas, Croatia Football Federation President, Davor Suker, Rugby Football Union CEO, Ian Ritchie, MLS Commissioner, Don Garber, UK Sport Performance Director, Simon Timson, San Jose Earthquakes President, Dave Kaval and former World Cup Final referee, Howard Webb.
Located on the exhibition floor, close to the main networking areas, The Academy will be the learning hub of the convention, housing expert presentations, cutting-edge insight and case studies on the industry’s core areas of business.
A fascinating line up for 2015 features: Twitter UK Head of Sport, Alex Trickett, Facebook Head of Sport and Entertainment Media partnerships, Glen Miller, Tifosy Co-Founder and brand ambassador, Gianluca Vialli and MLS Medical Co-ordinator, John Gallucci, as well as presentations from Heineken, Getty Images, SAP, Triple IT, German FA, Prime Time Sport, Dutch FA and the Football Medical Association, to name just a few.
The Sports Lounge will be playing host to the programme’s pure football content, featuring legends of the game past and present. Discussions have included the likes of Bryan Robson, Michael Owen, David Dein and Jens Lehmann, to name just a few, whilst the CSO Zone will be the interactive hub of social development content, welcoming the industry’s leading brands, rights holders and NGOs.
