July 26, 2013

Sky TV has acquired the television broadcast rights to air the 2015 Cricket World Cup in New Zealand.

The agreement, awarded by the International Cricket Council’s global media rights and broadcast partner Star Sports, will allow Sky TV to provide live coverage of every game of the tournament, which will be co-hosted by Australia and New Zealand.

“Cricket is our summer game and we all remember the buzz during the Rugby World Cup,” Sky’s Director of Sport Richard Last, said. “So it’s fantastic news to be able to bring all the colour and passion of the Cricket World Cup to New Zealanders in 2015.”
