Seven Soccer Referees Given Lifetime Bans by FIFA

Seven Soccer referees have been given lifetime bans following a match-fixing inquiry into exhibition games earlier this year by FIFA

The probe concerned games held Feb. 9 in Antalya, seek Turkey, price  Estonia and Bulgaria tied 2-2 and Latvia beat Bolivia 2-1, remedy with all seven goals coming from penalty kicks.

The soccer body’s disciplinary panel imposed the sanction against four Hungarians and three Bosnians following a hearing at its headquarters in Zurich, Switzerland.

Arrests have occurred in Asia, Europe and Africa as the police are clamping down on miscreants who are bringing the sport into disrepute.
