Overview:

SUMMARY

As Senior Manager, Social Media Programs this position plays a leading role in the ideation, production, and execution of social media programs and activations across all owned NHL social media and digital platforms. This role is a self-motivated individual within the social media team taking primary role in the strategic planning and implementation of social media campaigns and programs.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

· Manage the comprehensive process of developing content and campaigns across NHL social media platforms including ideation, copywriting, and asset creation
· Work closely with supervisor and greater social media team in developing social content and activation strategies for tent pole events, league initiatives, and social media programs
· Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders in the development of integrated campaigns and programs
· Serve as social contact with design, multimedia, and video teams to produce social content
· Play primary role of on-site content capture and curation at NHL games and events
· Work with analytics team to deliver reporting and KPI tracking on social programs
· Stay on top of evolving social/digital behaviors and apply insights into creative and strategic approach to content
· Assist with daily community management efforts across social platforms
· Manage the execution of social sponsorship campaigns across social platforms

QUALIFICATIONS

· Four to seven years of experience in social media, digital marketing, and/or content creation for a sports, media, or lifestyle brand

· Must have a passion for and an elaborate knowledge of the NHL, its teams, players, history, rules, and the game of hockey

· Strong creative development skills as well as excellent copywriting with a focus on succinctness, wit, humor, and quality storytelling

· Demonstrable capability with light video editing tools, Photoshop and PowerPoint
· Well-developed knowledge of the social media platform landscape
· Experience executing paid campaigns on social platforms
· Established digital and content production experience
· Exhibits excellent attention to detail
· Ability to work in groups and manage a large number of projects at a given time
· Exhibits great communication and organization with the ability to constantly prioritize tasks
· Applies an entrepreneurial approach to their work
· Has a positive and upbeat attitude to their job
· Requests feedback and is open to constructive criticism
· Ability to work nights/weekends and travel as required
· Bachelor’s Degree required
