Product Manager, Ticketing – MLB

Overview

The MLBAM Ticketing Department is currently seeking an experienced Product Manager. The successful candidate will have proven product management experience.  Team members are self-starters, viagra highly organized, cialis diplomatic, excellent communicators of both business and technology objectives, can multi-task, and work well in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

  • – Facilitate communication and manage relationships among Major League Baseball Clubs and ticketing partners, as well as various Major League Baseball /Minor League Baseball departments and external partners.
  • – Develop, maintain and communicate detailed project plans and product roadmap from the beginning conceptual phase through to launch including the design phase, providing detailed technical specifications, thorough QA prior to launch and maintenance throughout the life of the product
  • – Effectively support the engineering team throughout sprint cycles by proactively overcoming roadblocks that may impact the quality of products, service & on-time delivery
  • – Participate in product development activities, scheduling feature additions in iterative release cycles based on priority and importance
  • – Provide detailed status and issue reporting to project teams and leadership as requested and/or defined
  • – Identify, analyze, prioritize, mitigate and communicate project risks
  • – Provide deep insight around our competitive landscape and available technologies in the market serving as our expert on best practices related to mobile, tablet and web products.
  • – Support MLBAM Ticketing Directors with various tasks that will lead to an increased understanding of the business and client’s needs
  • – Coordinate and proof ticketing and commerce aspects of MLBAM-operated website pages
  • – Represent the MLBAM organization in a professional manner

Basic Qualifications

  • – Bachelor’s Degree with 3+ years of relevant work experience
  • – Ability to develop cordial, professional relationships with all levels of team personnel and MLB/Minor League Baseball staff
  • – Proven experience in owning projects through to completion, from requirements gathering through rollout and training
  • – Proven experience developing wireframes, mockups, prototypes, and user interaction diagrams
  • – Experience with project management tools including JIRA, Confluence, Smartsheet or similar
  • – Strong ability to multitask and manage deadlines from various client groups
  • – Self-starter who is energetic & enthusiastic, confident, adaptable & results-oriented
  • – Proficiency in the Adobe Product Suite including Illustrator and/or Photoshop is highly desirable
  • – Detail-oriented, organized and excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • – Ability to multi-task and work under strict deadlines
  • – Flexible schedule: available weekends and late nights occasionally throughout the year, as needed
  • – Some overnight travel will be required
  • – Familiarity with the game of baseball
  • – Basic understanding of ecommerce and ticketing a plus
  • – Manage additional projects as assigned
