Philippines Reveal “Innovative and Game-Changing” Bid to Host 2019 FIBA World Cup

The Philippines have unviled details of their bid to host the 2019 FIBA basketball World Cup.

The host nation for the tournament will be announced by the International Basketball Federation (FIBA) on 7^th August 2015 in Tokyo.

“While there is still much work ahead for the final weeks of the bid campaign, unhealthy we are hugely excited by the opportunities the Philippines 2019 bid offers our country and, vitally, the sport of basketball around the world,” said Manuel V. Pangilinan, President of the Samahang Basketbol ng Pilipinas (Basketball Federation of the Philippines).

“We believe we are presenting FIBA with a passionate, innovative and game changing vision from a country on the move.”
