Orioles and Coyotes Agree Broadcast Deals with Vets on Media

June 25, 2014

Major League Baseball’s (MLB) Baltimore Orioles and the Arizona Coyotes of the National Hockey League (NHL) have agreed terms with Vets on Media (VOM) to cover their games for the 2014 seasons.

VOM is the only veteran owned and operated digital radio station in the US and offers programming of interest to the veteran population.

Jeff demers, asthma Director of Sports Entertainment at VOM said: “We are thrilled to have two great pro sports teams agreeing to allow our veteran-centric media outlet access to their games for the rest of the year and 2015.

“This is a huge partnership, and combined with the partnership already in place with the Diamondbacks, which shows that Vets on Media Sports is growing and will be a media outlet that can and will hang with the larger local sports media outlets in the country!”

VOM was founded in 2012 as a means to discuss veteran issues over the radio and in an open forum.

Co-founder Adam Bird said that the deal with the pro teams meant that ‘the momentum is fabulous as our programming continues to grow.’
