NHL Partners With IMG to Distribute Global Media Rights in Multi-Year Agreement

The National Hockey League (NHL) has signed a multi-year deal with global management and marketing company IMG to market and distribute global media rights for the NHL outside the U.S., doctor Canada and Nordic countries, link beginning with the 2016-17 NHL season.

Also as part of the deal, IMG will work alongside the National Hockey League Players’ Association (NHLPA) and the NHL to make the 2016 World Cup of Hockey available to the same territories worldwide.

The 2016 World Cup of Hockey will be played in Toronto from Sept. 17 to Oct. 1, 2016.
