August 14, 2013

The new stadium at the Sydney Uni Sports & Aquatic Centre (SUSAC) will be named the Brydens Stadium, following a naming rights agreement between Brydens Lawyers and Sydney Uni Sport & Fitness (SUSF).

This new deal follows the litigation firm’s support of WNBL team the Sydney Uni Flames with a three-year naming rights sponsorship.

The new stadium is part of a $15 million upgrade and extension to the (SUSAC) and will be home to the Brydens Sydney Uni Flames. The 1200-capacity stadium will officially open tomorrow (15 August).

A new group fitness room, martial arts dojo and boxing room have also been built as part of the extension plans.

SUSF Executive Director Robert Smithies said: “It is wonderful to see that Brydens have also taken up the naming rights to our new basketball stadium.

“This makes Brydens the biggest sponsorship and naming rights contributor to the SUSAC upgrade and extension project and to the Flames, and we welcome them as a significant partner with SUSF in a relationship that will last for many years.”

Brydens Lawyers’ Principal, Lee Hagipantelis added: “The opportunity to take on the naming rights sponsorship of the magnificent new stadium at Sydney Uni Sport & Fitness seemed a natural extension of the relationship that has been recently formalised between Brydens and the Sydney Uni Flames.

“It was simply an opportunity too good to miss. The new stadium is an incredible facility that is purpose-built for the hosting of the Brydens Sydney Uni Flames home games, as well as many other sporting endeavours.

“I have no doubt that Brydens Stadium will soon come to be recognised as one of Sydney’s best sporting facilities.”
