October 30, 2014

Armada FC, sale Jacksonville’s new professional North American Soccer League team, discount have announced new partners for its inaugural 2015 season.

The Nike-produced kit includes Jacksonville-based grocer Winn-Dixie as the primary jersey sponsor, securing the jersey-front logo placement on all Armada FC uniforms. Area automotive group Key Auto Company’s logo will be featured on the right sleeve of the kit for an initial period of three years. Nike will also be providing all of the Armada FC’s equipment and merchandise including player sideline and fan wear through U.S. distributor We Got Soccer.

“When choosing an apparel provider for the Armada FC, I wanted to align my club with a premier brand within the soccer and sporting community,” said Mark Frisch, owner, Armada FC. “Nike is a brand that shares my goal of helping grow and build soccer in the U.S. and on the First Coast. We are now part of a family of teams, including some of the world’s greatest such as FC Barcelona, Manchester United, Manchester City, Paris Saint-Germain, AS Roma and Celtic, who are all playing in Nike apparel.

“We are honored to have two great local area companies – Winn-Dixie and Key Auto Company – joining us on our soccer shirts. It will be a thrill to see our players sport Winn-Dixie across the chest of their shirts when we kick off next spring and it is a bonus for us to have Key Auto Company on our sleeves.”

The Armada FC inaugural kit reflects the direction fans gave the club in selecting the team colors, incorporating the navy blue, white and gold colors the fans chose for the Armada FC’s logo and patch. The club’s primary uniform, which will be used for most home matches, is a navy blue jersey with a white chest band and a V-neck. Armada FC’s secondary kit mirrors the home kit, except that it is all white. The goalkeeper kit will incorporate a variety of change colors including green, purple and gold for use depending on the opposing team’s colors.

All uniforms feature the traditional Nike design, revolutionary stitching system and dri-fit technology. The Armada FC logo is on the upper-left chest area, closest to the heart, and the iconic Nike swoosh is on the upper right chest area. Prominently featured are Winn-Dixie on the front, Key Auto Company on the sleeve and the American flag, high on the left sleeve above the NASL logo.

“We appreciate Winn-Dixie’s incredible vision and support,” said Steve Livingstone, president, Armada FC. “Additionally, Key Auto Company has been a great partner to us and we are proud to have their logo on our sleeve. These marquee sponsorships set the tone for the relationships Armada FC is pursuing with the business community – and will bring strong returns for our partners as we play matches and reach audiences not only in Jacksonville but also in Fort Lauderdale, Tampa, New York, Raleigh, San Antonio, Minneapolis and Indianapolis, and Ottawa and Edmonton in Canada.”

“As the First Coast’s hometown grocery store, we’re thrilled to be the official supermarket of the new Jacksonville Armada FC and proud to have our name on the uniform,” said Randy Rambo, Winn-Dixie regional vice president. “This new partnership provides us with a great opportunity to make meaningful connections with our customers, many of which are passionate soccer fans.”

Armada FC also announced that it has partnered with leading soccer apparel distributors We Got Soccer to be the club’s official online merchandise retailer, and all Armada FC gear will be available for purchase through WeGotSoccer.com and through ArmadaFC.com.
