Nadzmi Withdraws BWF Presidency Bid

The Badminton World Federation (BWF) has confirmed the Badminton Association of Malaysia (BAM) president, Dato Sri Mohd Nadzmi Mohd Salleh, has withdrawn his bid for the BWF presidential elections.

The BWF Council elections take place on 18 May in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia. The remaining candidates for the Presidency are Indonesia’s Dr. Justian Suhandinata and Denmark’s Poul-Erik Hoyer.

Nadzmi’s decision is viewed as a compromise with the Indonesian candidate in order to avoid splitting the Asian vote.
