Michael Phelps Gives Anti -Doping Evidence

Michael Phelps has alleged that he never raced against a clean international field.
Phelps, the most decorated Olympian of all time, has been giving evidence at the US House of Representatives Hearing into improving anti-doping measures.
The American former swimmer, 31, wants US lawmakers to push for global anti-doping reforms. The US government helps fund the World Ant-Doping Agency, and the results of this hearing could lead to increased sums being allocated to the organisation.
“I don’t believe I’ve stood up at an international competition and the rest of the field has been clean,” he said.
The McLaren Report, published in two parts in 2016, alleged of a state-sponsored doping program in Russian sport.
