MetLife Agrees PGA Tour Partnership

MetLife, medstore Inc., sale a leading global life insurance provider has become an Official Marketing Partner of the PGA TOUR and Champions Tour. 

The four-year agreement, medstore which runs through 2016, gives MetLife the designations of “Official Life Insurance Company of the PGA TOUR and Champions Tour” and “Official Aerial Coverage Provider of the PGA TOUR.”

“We are very pleased to announce this official relationship with MetLife, which has been associated with the PGA TOUR for ­­­over 20 years through the wonderful aerial television coverage provided by the MetLife blimps,” said Jay Monahan, Chief Marketing Officer for the PGA TOUR. “We look forward to working closely with MetLife to build upon this history and expand its involvement with the TOUR and our tournaments.”

The MetLife blimps are scheduled to provide coverage at 29 tournaments this season. Since 1987, tournament coverage from the MetLife blimps has been a staple of PGA TOUR telecasts on CBS, NBC and now Golf Channel. Today, the Snoopy One and Snoopy Two blimps combine to cover more than 80 sporting and news events per year, logging roughly 120,000 miles in travel.
