January 22, 2013
Mars Food Australia have renewed their partnership with A-League’s Central Coast Mariners FC with their Masterfoods brand remaining the front of shirt sponsor until the end of the 2013/14 Hyundai A-League campaign.
Mars Food Australia’s front of shirt sponsorship extension guarantees the valued local employer will enter a ninth year as a key strategic partner of Central Coast Mariners FC.
In addition to the regular presence of the Masterfoods blimp and giant Masterfoods sauce bottles at the Brisbane Water end of Bluetongue Stadium, Masterfoods have supplied 10,000 sauce bottle shaped ‘thundersticks’ for Saturday evening to help boost the lively derby atmosphere. The first 1,500 families through the gate will also receive a Mars Food Australia sample bag featuring a selection from the range of over 500 great tasting products.
Moreover, each and every matchday one randomly selected Mariners supporter receives a Masterfoods hamper and slow-cooker courtesy of Mars Food Australia.
Central Coast Mariners Chairman, Mr Peter Turnbull, said: “Mars Food Australia’s sponsorship of the Central Coast Mariners Football Club has been win-win since day one.”
“For us, their support means so much more than merely the presence of the Masterfoods logo on our kits. Mars Food Australia assist us in raising the profile of football on the Central Coast and enhancing our Club’s reputation locally, nationally and internationally.”
“Perhaps best of all, the company directly employs over 300 Central Coast people and their headquarters are just kilometres from both our administrative and football bases, meaning we possess a true local partnership providing benefits on an international scale.”
Mars Food Australia’s Chief Financial Officer, Mr Andrew Poll, said: “We are really proud to extend our relationship with Central Coast Mariners Football Club.”
“The professionalism of the Club’s management, coaches, players and support staff are a credit to our local community and will ensure their continued success on the field. We look forward to another successful season in 2013/14.”
“Whether it’s to enjoy great tasting food, or to watch an exciting game of football, we are really pleased to continue to play our part in bringing families and friends together on the Central Coast,” he said.
