Partnerships manager – Premier League

The Premier League’s Partnerships team is responsible for relationship management, contractual delivery and activation across all Premier League Partners and Licensees, including Barclays, Budweiser, Castrol, EA Sports, Hublot, Nike, Oracle, Panini, and Avery Dennison.

Key Responsibilities

Overview And Essential Duties

This new position on the NHL digital team will have an essential role in the on-going management of a portfolio of digital content distribution partners including AVOD, TVOD, social media, and emerging media platforms.

Manchester City Football Club’s Performance Services aim to create engaging performance environments that maximise team and individual potential. Senior Digital Manager (China) – NBA

The position will work with NBA China’s key Digital media partner to co-create unique NBA digital experiences, value added products and events, to promote NBA brand, drive NBA innovation and fans growth in China, while support partner’s membership system, user experience and business expansion.

The position will be responsible for design, manage and provide value added service, content and other products that can benefit NBA and partner’s memberships; Develop and execute co-branded campaigns to promote key initiates of the NBA and partners, with initiatives spanning across Content, Events, Digital Collectibles, Gaming, Merchandise and Youth Basketball, among others, utilizing the tools and assets from the NBA and partners.

MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES 

· Design and execute innovative value-added services to help partner and NBA membership growth; include but not limited to content, virtual product, digital collectibles, joint membership, merchandise, and O2O events etc.

· Work with in- and external stake holders to manage the full life cycle of NBA digital collectibles. Digital Content Editor – NFL

NFL Media is looking for a highly motivated, creative, and detail-oriented Digital Content Editor to work with NFL.com copy editors, writers and NFL Network reporters in the field on all types of news stories, including breaking and developing news situations. The candidate will be well versed in all news related to the National Football League. The candidate will also have a working knowledge of NCAA football, the NFL Draft and the NFL Combine. The ideal candidate is team oriented and collaborates well. Working on deadline and under pressure is a must. The NFL Media newsroom is a 24/7 operation, and this position will require weekend work and potentially after-hours assignments. You’ll have precise instincts and experience to make editorial decisions independently and the ability to stand behind those decisions when challenged .

Responsibilities

  • Train and directly oversee seasonal, contracted and part-time digital content producers, making story assignments and checking their work to ensure all content is grammatically correct, factually accurate and consistent with NFL Media’s editorial policies.

ICC launch tender process for rights starting in 2024

The International Cricket Council will release its first Invitation To Tender (ITT) for media rights for the next cycle of ICC events starting in 2024 on Monday, 20 June. The ITT is for the Indian market only, with up to six packages available across TV only, digital only or a combination of both. 

For the first time ever, men’s and women’s rights will be sold separately, and prospective partners can bid for 16 Men’s events (over 8 years) and six Women’s events (over 4 years), totalling 362* and 103* matches respectively. Interested parties will be required to submit a bid for the first four years of men’s events. However, they also have the option of bidding for an eight-year partnership.

ICC Chief Executive Geoff Allardice said: International cricket consistently attracts huge audiences and that is driving significant interest from broadcasters for ICC events. We have more than one billion fans that passionately follow the game globally, and they will be looking forward to seeing the best players in the world competing for cricket’s most prestigious trophies.

“There has been significant growth in interest in women’s cricket over the last five years and we have made a long-term strategic commitment to accelerate that growth and unbundling the rights for our women’s events will play a huge role in that. Group Financial Controller – The Jockey Club

One Team: Group Financial Controller (12 month Fixed Term Contract)

The Jockey Club is looking to recruit an experienced Group Financial Controller to manage the group’s internal and external reporting processes, promote a best practice financial control and compliance culture, manage the Group’s shared finance centre and to provide analysis and insight for various group functions.

Role summary

The Jockey Club operates 15 racecourses nationwide including Cheltenham, Aintree, Epsom Downs, training grounds, The National Stud and Racing Welfare. The ideal candidate will have 7+ years PQ experience, strong technical and analytical skills, and excellent communication skills with the ability to distil complex financial information to a wide range of stakeholders.

Key responsibilities for this role include, but are not limited to:

  • Central control, consolidation and management of all aspects of Group reporting, including monthly management accounts process, annual Statutory accounts preparation, cash and net debt reporting tracking headroom against the JCR banking covenants, for reporting to Exec management and main Board. Preparation of management accounts of forecasts for head office functions.
  • Lead the Shared Finance function (Sales Ledger, Purchase Ledger, Treasury teams) in their development, implementing process improvement as identified and required and continuing its journey as a development ground for future finance talent across the Group. Build a culture of empowerment within that team. 
  • Head of Finance for Jockey Club Services, our outsourcing business. Responsible for pricing, contract reviews, client relationship, reporting.
  • Act as primary interface and co-ordination with the Group’s external auditors and tax advisers, to agree audit scope and procedures as well as timetable and ensure all audit deliverables including tax packs, are available in a timely manner.
  • Ownership of group chart of accounts and finance systems. Maintain strong financial controls across the group to preserve integrity of financial reporting and avoid unnecessary one off adjustments. Drive balance sheet reconciliations process and regular review of working capital movements as a priority.
  • Full ownership of the HMRC relationship for the Group. Main interface with HMRC for submission of all Group tax returns and management of VAT quarterly return processes, including MTD.
  • Responsibility for compliance with areas regulations such as CCO, SAO, off-payroll labour (IR35).
  • Working with the CFO to identify and evaluate alternative forms of structured finance for the business and optimizing the use of the Group’s assets. Transaction lead on future refinancing.
  • Actively participate and make a strong contribution to the Finance Leadership Team meetings and discussions on finance values, priorities and their implementation, as well as influencing Regional Finance Directors as appropriate.
  • Maintain and develop on-going processes of sharing and spreading best practice, with the rest of the Finance Leadership team, in all aspects of financial and management reporting.
  • Develop and maintain a strong working relationship with the CFO, Regional Finance Directors and Heads of Finance at Jockey Club Estates and the National Stud, as well as day-to-day various external stakeholders (Banks, HMRC, HBLB, JV partners, auditors).

  • A professional Finance qualification, ACA or ACCA certified
  • Advanced knowledge and operation of Excel functionality
  • Proven experience of working in a PQE role within a Group/matrix environment

Reporting to the Head of Creative Media, the Senior Creative Producer will take a leading role in the creative direction of F1’s in-house video content with particular emphasis on project management. 

Main Duties and Responsibilities

  • To support the Executive Producer and Head of Creative Media in the planning, creation and development of Formula 1’s video output, with particular emphasis on high-end promotional content, broadcast features, internal corporate videos and long-form programming.
  • To manage the entire production process on multiple projects, leading the team in raising stories, scheduling and planning shoots, coordinating editors and researchers, liaising with internal and external clients and ensuring projects are completed to deadline.
  • Ensure that projects are fully compliant with F1’s internal policies and procedures.
  • To supervise work being undertaken by Editors and junior Producers, providing guidance and creative vision, delegating tasks and monitoring performance.
  • To oversee the final content production, ensuring that all the appropriate elements are technically sound and factually accurate.
  • To occasionally travel to race events or other film shoots to organise and produce video content on the field, if required.

About You

  • Strong track record of producing TV/video content
  • Team leadership experience in a production environment
  • Non-linear editing skills
  • Knowledge and understanding of current production equipment/software, both on the field and in the edit suite
  • Excellent understanding of Formula 1 Motorsport.
  • Flexible – the role may require weekend, evening or night work, depending on deadlines and the time zone of each race event
  • Highly motivated and ambitious, keen to embrace new challenges
