Manchester United Signs Three Year Partnership Deal with Aperol

Premier League Champions Manchester United FC have announced a new sponsorship deal with international spirit brand Aperol that will run until the end of the season 2016/2017.

The Italian brand’s name will appear during home games at Old Trafford, as well as on the club’s website and official TV (MUTV). Also the signature drink, ‘Aperol Spritz’, that became people’s favourite across Europe over the last few years, will be available in the stadium’s hospitality areas.

Manchester United’s Group Managing Director, Richard Arnold, said: “We are delighted to welcome Aperol as Manchester United’s new Global Sprits Partner. Like Manchester United, Aperol is an ambitious organisation and we have been impressed by their innovative approach to developing the brand on an international stage.”

Aperol develops its brand across the globe, extending into new markets developing outside its traditional Italian roots. Bob Kunze-Concewitz, Chief Executive Officer, Gruppo Campari, commented on the partnership, saying: “We’re delighted to announce Aperol is the new way to celebrate the joy and the passion for Manchester United.”

Manchester United’s 136-year heritage has boasted 62 trophies enabling one of the world’s leading sports brand to have a global community of 659 million followers.

Aperol, now produced by the Campari company, was launched in 1919 at the Padua International Fair. Created by the Barbieri brothers, Aperol soon became one of the Italians’ favourite liqueur.  Aperol is also the official sponsor of MotoGP, the Grand Prix of Motorcycle racing since 2010.
